For the Auto-EID you can turn on the NCTR switch on the left and you will automaticly see what aircraft is in front of you

On some public servers ATC may ask pilots to enable mode3 IFF, for easier coordination. Its great that RAZBAM implemented this, someone may say "unnecessary" feature, because its really sucks when you fly plane without implemented controls for IFF and ATC asks you to enable it

A little bit more info here. There are solid circles and hollow circles. Circles are MODE 4 only. The solid circles are interrogation replies within the radars coverage area. The hollow circles are interrogation replies that are outside the radar coverage. And a locked friendly will also give a hollow circle at the top left corner of the MPD. Diamonds show up like circles but are MODE 1, 2 AND 3.

+GrimReapersAtomic *I'm unfamiliar with IFF Mode 4.* Is Eagle Dynamics considering an IFF Mode 5, which corresponds to ATC Mode S in giving comprehensive data on the aircraft?

There is a bug atm btw -- Summary of the issue:
There is a bug in last update, where in STT, interrogating with IFF Mode 4 will show ennemies as friendly. It only occurs with STT and Mode 4
Until next patch where it will be fixed, there is a simple way to avoid it. Just start a Mode 4 interrogation (AAI or EID) in a scanning mode (TWS, RWS) once. The issue should disappear until the end of the session.

Thanks, I must admit I had problems with STT, hence why I could only show TWS.

do you look at the REPLY light on the RICP panel for interrogation response? If not, is it because that is not modeled yet?

Hey if anybody reading has an answer I really need one; for some reason when I put a ground force on the mission editor it doesn’t load into the mission, do any of y’all have a fix for this?

i do wonder if the Hud display will eventually be able to indicate hostile confirmed iff like the hornet does, by making the square radar lock box diamond shape something similar.
i dont really get the logic from the air forces why the iff state is no longer reflected on the hud during combat, as seen in the F16. Wags confirmed to me long ago during initial releases when asked, then iff is only visible on radar mfcd (and SA later on as it got introduced.)
i mean, if you are in a furball with mixed clouds and you accidently lock up a member of your flight and hard to distinguish, or lets say a coalition using russian planes along nato planes fighting against near identical russian resurgent planes, you dont get much time to look heads down to check iff results on a whim when training dictates to keep eyes on the target at all times. Lost sight, lost fight i mean.

My radar just doesn’t work anymore. I’m not so sure why. I can’t get anybody to show up on my radar. Obviously I know it has something to do with these new systems. I just can’t figure it out yet.
