Some places refuse to scan it if they know it’s not officially in Apple wallet. I tried at Disneyland and my local Costco and they would not scan from these generated cards.
This might be a stretch to ask here, but I’d love to know if anyone here is successfully able to add any Japanese point cards to Wallet via this method.
@@Charizard215 Was it able to convert it? As a last resort, I believe you can add just an image of the barcode. That's what I did with one of my local stores. It said the barcode wasn't supported so it took a photo of the barcode and embedded a picture on the pass. Should work as a last resort!
Time we were able to do this with all cards, driving licence, hotel room keys. passport etc. Will be nice when we can also accept payments directly from phone to phone too & do away with cash altogether.
so for iphone I need to install a 3rd party app? Google wallet you can keep credit cards and loyalty cards in the same app. Just asking because Im trying an iphone since 4s
That's insane! I do love it too. My biggest gripes is that so few cars support Car Key, so few states support digital IDs, and almost no apps support order tracking.
How secure is it to use these apps which have your loyalty cards details on it? I mean can they access your points and personal information for viewing purposes. If yes, which app would you recommend to use despite them having this access.
@@LioraHessArt Because they have no identifying information. If anything, they have your barcode to your grocery store, but that's it. And they have in their privacy policy that they dont have access to that data.
Does anybody know how to add a gift card tho? I don’t really know how to add them and have been trying to figure out how to add gift cards to Apple Wallet. Can anyone help pls? Thanks
Apple Wallet is one of the things I really miss whenever I use Android. Google Wallet just doesn't feel as good to use and doesn't seem half as reliable.
Google wallet is way better then the one from apple. You don't need additionally apps to add loyalty cards and it just works every time. It's the same technology.
How are we in 2024 and still can’t add gift cards to Wallet to store them safely and keep track of balances?!?!
That'll be because Stores have to PAY Apple for the 'privilege' to be able to do so. As if they (A$$le) don't have enough money already....🙄
Google wallet let's you do that.
When will they add some kind of organization to this app?
Thank you for recommending me this apps, its a very useful video we got here!!
Awesome! Did not know about this! How cool is this!
I got the one you recommended why mess with what’s proven to work. Thanks for the help
Thanks, it was very easy after watching the video. 👍🏻😊
Thank you so much 👍🏼👍🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧
are you able to add credit cards even if it’s not supported
Very useful video!
Thanks friend!
also, why cant we can non-digital business cards
Missed an editing opportunity to edit out the cards falling off the phone and make it look like the iPhone absorbed them all.
Best cid

What is a point card? What kind of scan is used? Is it a QR code? Bar code?
@@AppleInsider It’s a bar code. I tried adding it to Wallet via the same app you used, but it said the bar code is not supported.

@@AppleInsider that was my last resort as well. Wasn’t supported. Haha. I’ll give a different app a try. Thanks!
@@Charizard215 Yeah, try another app and to the photo if you have to. At least it's digital then! Will still work! Let me know if you find a solution!

We can already accept payments phone to phone! The rest is here too, we're just waiting for infrastructure to catch up. Just a long waiting game...
@@AppleInsider Would be nice if the watch could do these things too.
I don't like it. Advertisement, useless because I have my iPhone Wallet.

I am thinking the same thing. Apple Wallet can’t or won’t fix their app.
Would be nice to create a static nfc code that does not changes. For example UniFi Access.
I’ve been wanting that for years… I was hopeful Home Key would do that, but it’s dynamic…
How to add a card that doesn’t have a barcode?
Setting up an automation to automatically max brightness upon opening the Wallet app is incredibly easy, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
That's true!
Maybe it’s me but I get excited about Apple Wallet. Can you believe it’s been 10 years since it launched?
That's insane! I do love it too. My biggest gripes is that so few cars support Car Key, so few states support digital IDs, and almost no apps support order tracking.
@@AppleInsider Didn’t they start State based IDs? I’m sure it’s going to take a while to expand that list.
@@PokhrajRoy. they started it more than two years ago. So far like 5 airports only a few states support them. It’s very disappointing and slow.
@@AppleInsider It’s mostly state bureaucracy and now given the hoopla around TikTok, idk what’s happening
@@PokhrajRoy. it’s all idiotic IMO…
So we need two apps? Frustrating

Are you talking about the apps such as Pass2U? That should be very safe. That's the one I use.

@Bruno_AFK thank you! Where I swear some people spew nonsense for no reason
Thanks for the app recommendation, I like it.
Great video
Incredible!! Thanks a ton for this!
This is awesome, thanks!
What is the maximum amount of cards that can be stored in Apple Wallet while remaining visible?
You just keep scrolling! I'm sure there is some sort of limit, but it's not small. You can see 14 cards at once before you have to scroll.
Hey Andrew, Maybe you can answer me a question; why don’t SNAP/EBT cards & other benefit cards don’t work with Wallet?
