Something I tell my kids when they feel guilt for taking a day: do ONE THING someone can consider “productive”. Taking a shower or bath, folding one load of laundry, loading the dishwasher, making a meal. Just one small thing that you and only you benefit from. It helps with the guilt, you can’t call your day unproductive, and you took an action against poor mental health. And you know what? A nap is productive if your body needs sleep. So that can count too. What did you do today? “I aided my body in restorative actions”.
I love Gary Hendrix. I really enjoyed "How to Sell a Haunted House". If you want another soooky reading recommendation I really enjoyed "The Good House" by Tananarive Due. She is an excellent horror writer that sprinkles in some humor here and there.
Vampire Diaries first 5 seasons are golden 🙌 Seriously, I don't think i ever got bored in any of the episodes. I don't usually ship and root for couples in tv shows, I mean I might like certain people as a pair but I don't get attached to the idea of them. But this show... there is a certain someone and certain someone else... all though i like almost all the characters, they've become the show for me. And i cared about them like nothing else...still to these day my favourite ship ❤ (i would love to see your reaction and commentary after each season if you'd like to of course)

On the contrary it feels so modern like it was just written in 2000's. It is atmospheric, a little bit spooky cause there are gothic elements and it's both a love story and a coming of age story. Hope you enjoy it ❣
