    This man seems like he will live forever. So much talent. When he speaks you can’t understand a word he says but when he sings you can understand him. Amazing. Ozzy is not just a legend but he is THE legend. Listen to some old stuff and also know that he is the original singer for Black Sabbath. This man has been creating great music as long as I’ve been alive and I’m 51!

      Yes, I was so sad when I found out. One of my bff's dads is going through it and he's nearly Ozzy's age but we're still in our 20s. I feel for his family. They're quite iconic and great.

    I turned into an Ozzy fan late in life. It was this song actually that you're listening to right now that turned me on to how awesome his voice is. How awesome his messages. Now I'm appreciating Ozzy Osbourne where I was when I was a teenager I didn't listen.

  • @farrahlynne7121
    @farrahlynne7121 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Yeah, 71, he was born Dec 3, 1948 and just dropped a new album recently! He came to be known when he was with original Black Sabbath band in late 60s I believe, before he was fired and went solo. It’s sad that he’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease but good that he’s still entertaining and making music. He said in a fairly recent interview that he was in a lot of pain but that he would Continue to make music and entertain as long as the fans wanted him to. He’s not let nothing stop him, he’s been through it and has almost died several times in his life (probably more that the public even knows) lol. He was in a horrendous Quad Bike accident in December 20O3 and in a coma for 8 days, broke his ribs collar bone etc but still came through it. I Love the message of this song about the want and need for Peace! The man is definitely insane but he obviously cares about the world and mankind! Cheers for the Oz Man!!!☮️

      And my favorite, "Mama, I'm Coming Home". This is a 1992 power ballad about Ozzy's wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, whom he nicknames "Mama", and his return to her following his imminent retirement. Here are some facts: Ozzy gave up drugs and alcohol before recording this song. He credited Sharon for the lifestyle change, and admitted that he would be dead if he didn't turn sober. Ozzy and Sharon met when her father, Don Arden, was managing Black Sabbath. After they got married, Sharon bought out Ozzy's contract and became his manager. She runs the Ozzfest. This was also a change of image for Ozzy. The album "No More Tears" is lighter and more reflective than anything he had done before. It was his first album without a sinister title like "The Ultimate Sin", "Diary of a Madman", or "Talk Of The Devil". Do you get that?

    He's 71 and still at it. In metal, the artist is generally only in it for their love of the music, which is why they keep doing it despite their age, health setbacks, decline in record sales, etc. This dude's first band, Black Sabbath, are the creators of metal music. Every once in a while, Ozzy does a ballad-y type song like this, which usually comes out to be 2 on each album out of about 12 songs total. Check out some of his normal songs which are much, much heavier, like "Let Me Hear You Scream", "Gets Me Through", "Diggin Me Down", "Junkie", "Perry Mason", "I Don't Wanna Stop", "Thunder Underground", "Let It Die", "Not Going Away", Facing Hell", etc. For the love of God though, don't begin your journey with his latest album, please! Wait until you're familiar with his back catalog before listening to that and assuming that's what he normally sounds like.

    There's a TV show with Ozzy and his son Jack that is funny. I think it's on Axys tv station now. It's called Ozzy and Jack World Detour. Their son Jack researches the paranormal and has his own show on the Travel Channel and there's a show on the same channel on Sunday nights where he shows his parents Ozzy and Sharon ghost videos. The family likes the cameras.

    He started with Black Sabbath in like 1968. He is 71 now but maybe in his upper 60's in this song. Listen to the album The Ultimate Sin. Every song up there is great and it's sound is heavier. Other songs that are great are No More Tears, Bark At The Moon, Changes, See you on the Other Side, Close My Eyes Forever ( with Lita Ford ), I don't Wanna Stop. Really there are soooo many more that are phenomenal. You WILL NOT be sorry if you went down that rabbit hole I promise you that!! He is talking about the world and humanity. He is lovingly called The Prince of Darkness in the rock community.

    Yeah Ozzie in his seventies...think about that hard...we who know him love him. He won't stop until he dies....a masterful man if ever.

    I really like this song, it definitely has a Beatles vibe - but listen to Crazy Train - Ozzy (even though he is known for the eating head off of a bat) is a brilliant artist!!!
