My other half and I moved to Tasmania around 14 years ago and are looking at buying a boat back in blighty and doing the same over the next 10 years or so - it’s a small world. Happy cruising.

Great to see so much trading & hear so many "arhhhs!" I love the idea of the free food Friday night marquee! Highlights this week for me the sawhorse (I've been trying to figure out how to make one so ideal to get a screenshot!) & at 10:30 mark: the expression on that gentleman's face; priceless!

Hope to get there with "Hazel" next year. It used to be a regular fixture for us but we missed in 2019 because of being stuck on the Rochdale with collapsing locks, then there was the pandemic. This year we've been struggling for lack of volunteers.

I had missed two session night from being sick one week and soaking in a Hot Springs the next week (life is so tough) but last nights session was great. Today I worked in the hot sun for 5 hours. No smoke to blot the sun. Over 80F which is very hot on Alaskans. Sitting on my screened in front porch now with my guitar in the shade with the temps just right. I’ll play you a song. Take care

Great video. I would like to mention your pins. Not the ones you walk around with but the mooring pins. I got a good look at those stubby little things. They look short, is there a specified size? 4 foot long would allow hammering standing up, deeper penetrative in soft soils and an empty can could be placed on top. This would allow others to be warned of the trip hazard. Sounds like you had fun.
The mooring pins tend to be a set depth … anything more would damage banks … you only need to cover the pins if the towpath is really really narrow and I tend to use a plastic bag in those cases 😄
