- Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns features a decent but one of the weakest campaigns in the entire franchise. Featuring rich visuals and solid performances, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns' campaign struggles with weird plot choices and pacing issues.
Along with Khaos Reigns, we also get access to six playable characters out of which only three are playable at launch. Sektor and Cyrax are great additions but the real star of the show is Noob Saibot.
Besides the story expansion and characters, animalities are also back after almost three decades and they are every bit awesome as you remember them.

This is probably the most underwhelmed I've been with a Mortal Kombat game since Armageddon. I'm not going to call it outright bad. But it is really disappointing considering how much I loved the last three games. And this DLC is incredibly short for how expensive it is. The story expansion to MK11 was a lot more in depth
I 100% agree with u. I think this is the BEST fighting mechanics in all of the series but everything else sucks. The extra modes or lack there of, customizing, story expansion and roster is all crap compared to the last 3 games. 11 is possibly still my favorite

I'm salty that Nightwolf isn't in the game still. Imo this is a staple mk character with cool lore that they've neglected.
Hopefully they can leave this entire multiverse crap in the past after MK1 bc its really set mk in the wrong direction

In really enjoying the dlc it’s pretty good for everything you get as far as content the price really isn’t bad but I get you can definitely wait till it goes on sale as it will anyway
full price for half the storytime and 6 characters is a joke. should've been 20 to 30 dollars max.
Who the hell are the writers for modern MK games it cant be ed boon can it? Powerscaling is ridiculous they need to being it back to the original timeline

When dlc is as much as a full game (decent) you know it's too expensive. 25 GBP tops.
Best roster in the series and best combos slightly over MKX 😊 But everyone in the MK community is thriving on hate streamers who only bash and most are casuals some not even in the FGC!

Same people complaining pay $20 for a fortnite skin I mean you get 6 characters new brutality and animality and added story for $50 30-40 would of been ideal but $10 per dlc characters and you get 6 evens out overall

The overall game has been massively improved. I'm hooked for the first time since i got it. Not got khaos reigns yet but honestly it's a good game now.
I mean the statement that cyrax joining scorpion to fast doesn't make sense. Is a wasted argument. Cyrax had doubts from the beginning. Has more values to humanity. Also sub zero literally tells her ya I'm a lier.

I remember Noob Saibot being OP in MK Ultimate. You get that cloud on the enemy and you got two free uppercuts.
The ending was bad should’ve animated some of the arcade endings like tsang sung and Shia khan

Mk1 is decent. Story was excellent, the new twists to characters were well done, gameplay is always great. However The switch port is absolutely abysmal and should never have been done bc it was a broken mess and even after they fixed it, the compromises make it feel like it's held together with duct tape and bubble gum. The live service conquest is really a missed opportunity in my opinion... it could have been decent if done right, but honestly it's boring. Now the most egregious is the microtransactions. Dlc is one thing but the microtransactions in this thing is nothing more than FOMO skins and selling fatalities that should have just been in the game to begin with (or as with the holiday ones- been left on the cutting room floor or at least had different ones for each character if your going to flease us for it)
Excited for the expansion and new characters on ps5 though
I enjoyed the story mostly but it ends very abruptly. Felt like they needed more time before the credits rolled.
Yea, that’s why I think there would be a second part next year, because the ending was not exactly an ending

Haven’t played since Omni man and I’m sure glad I’m not missing out.
MK 1 has been a pile of trash so far... I spent enough already and there is so much less than MK 11 gameplay quality and overall fun... Ill pay 10 for this tops...
