Lord, thank you from the bottom of my heart for Pastor Chuck. He has continually been a consistent blessing in my life. May the Lord continue to bless and keep him in His care!
I have listened to Pastor Chuck for many years and have read many of his books and daily Devotionals. Thank you for this interview that touched my heart … may God continue to bless you
I have listened to Pastor Chuck for many years . I too have appreciated his ministry through all his stages - young, middle age, and now Senior! Thank you Pastor Chuck!
God I pray that you keep Pastor Swindoll and his wife here on earth until your return. We need men like him here. Not many like him left. In Jesus name.
Im 53 years old and as long as i can remember i have grown under the teachings and now both of your wisdom…. So grateful for your family. My husband came to Christ while on probation listening to Pastor Chuck and now we live and try to love others overseas
Thank you! Your kind words and support for my family means so much. Sounds like you and your husband have been on a journey with Jesus and I just love that you are sharing all over the world about Him. - Colleen
Chuck I have listened to all these "conversations" and cried! Did I tell you I cried, yes cried. I love you dearly. I'm from N.Ireland but live in San Antonio now. I have been a listener for years . I'm praying the Lord gives me my small, very small mansion near your huge one because I would love to meet you some day.
What a blessing to listen to Pastor Chuck in his senior years. His books have blessed and guided me over the years. I’ll be 90 next year and he still blesses my heart.
@@reframingministries I’m 89 and your dads books have helped me through many rough patches in my life. Have read “Three Steps Forward Two Steps Back”. Still have my worn paperback copy of it. Thank you Pastor Chuck.
Isn’t that life . . . 3 steps forward, 2 steps back . . . sometimes it feels like 10 steps back. Yet God is so faithful to walk with us through each and every step of life; thankful to hear He’s remained close to you through his writings. - Colleen
Ive listend to Chuck as long as I can remember, his lessons have always been a blessing and exposed much needed conviction. Thank you for posting this, Im so greatful to have such a humble individual who would preach the word of God.
Colleen, thank you so much for interviewing your Dad! He has so much wisdom and it’s wonderful to feel up close and personal with him. Looking forward to having him back in the pulpit in a few weeks!
It is always an honor to have dad as my guest. And your words regarding feeling “close and personal” are exactly what I desire all people to feel because that’s what touches us most deeply when wisdom is shared. Thanks so much for your kind words. - Colleen
Thank you for sharing these conversations. This fatherless adult child feels as if I am sitting with my imaginary dad as he passes on his lived and tried wisdom.❤
I am so happy listening to both of you this evening. Praise God! I needed to hear a good podcast. Thank you❣🙏 I have often questioned Thomas's doubt. Now I feel OK about questioning it.
Pastor Chuck, I'm an avid listener from Zambia 🇿🇲 since I heard your authoritative voice on a alarm clock radio in a hotel in DC 2014. I enjoy how you dramatize The Word, such a magnetic effect. You should do a Broadway show and musical, your mentor would love that. I agree, you're a natural. I thought to say, by the time your sight is running away, technology has upped it's game and you can still reference your Book and books, He is still providing for you. Thank you so much for doing His work unto His glory, you have mentored me that way. God blesses you.
My heart is touched. I mentor young moms and he has given me so much insight into how to do it better. The grinding leaves dust that can be shared. Thank you. Your dad has meant so much for so many years. He spoke at couples conferences that I attended over 45 years ago. I learned so much.
You have just made my day! That is exactly why we do these videos . . . in hopes that it will encourage, uplift, and give insight into living a faithful, God-centered life. May God bless your ministry and the work of your hands. - Colleen
I have listened to Pastor Swindoll since the 1970. He has and continues to be a blessing and a mentor to me. What an awesome and moving interview. I have sent the interview to my closest friends and family of believers. God’s grace & riches blessings.
One of the highest compliments to receive is to hear you give your time and listen, the next being it was valued enough to share. May the Lord truly bless you and those who tune in to these timeless truths. - Colleen
What a beautiful talk between the two of you. ❤ Thank you so much for talking about this topic. I have tried to raise the question of mentorship in churches I've attended, or became a member. When I asked about anyone available or if there was some kind of mentorship available, every church leader said they don't do anything like that. I always thought there was something deeper to having a mentor relationship. You have clarified the difference & deeper connection & guidance with a mentor relationship & I will just keep praying for God to help me find that mentoring relationship. Thank you again for sharing this & discussing this topic.❤
How fantastic it is that you continue to pursue a mentoring relationship! I pray the Lord leads you to the exact person for this season in your life. More than ever, I believe these relationships are foundational for every soul! Praying alongside you! - Colleen
I love this - and the authenticity that shrouds this interview. Decades ago, my dad came home from his church group with a pamphlet about a cruise to the Caribbean - Insight for Living - I had never heard of IFL or Chuck. I don’t recall if my dad invited me to join he and his friends on the cruise - he may have wanted a break ha ! So we committed to go ! A week later my dad brought home a book - ‘Improving Your Serve’ by Chuck…he said that if he were going to spend 10-days on a cruise ship with Chuck, he should know something about him. I read the book and was captivated - you mean you can be a Christ-Follower and laugh ? ! My dad said - “Well he teaches at a church in Fullerton” - So I visited, and the rest is [cliche] history. I loved Chuck’s humility, and that he truly did not want the attention and spotlight - at times we would jump on his Harley AKA The Hog, and grab tortilla soup and a burger at a [Chuckism] local joint - inevitably someone would recognize him, and the first thing he would say to them is “Meet my friend ____” in an effort to deflect attention away from him to me. I cherish the friendship and memories to this day ! RSA: Read, Study, Apply 🎚️ 📖 🙏🏻
I smiled as I read your comment . . . my dad’s Harley and the "local joint". Seems so long ago and yet like yesterday. He’s still the same humble, selfless, wonderful man . . . time will never change that. Thanks for reaching out! - Colleen
Growing up at EVFree, mentorship marked much of the time. It made such an impact on my life. Some of those mentors that began with me at age 12 have continued to richly bless my life over the last 30+ years. Pastor Chuck has put these values on display for such a long time. In transferring those values to new people in new places have been some of the deepest joys God has blessed me with in my life and time with others. It is a scarce commodity in so much of our world. Thanks for sharing with your dad, Colleen! Very encouraging!
It’s nice to enjoy listening to this program with you and your daughter. Pastor, I attended your Church in the 80’s Brea, California, E.V.Free 😁 Good topic, I read your Daily Devotional online… My God continue to bless you Pastor and your family… My Love and prayers extend out to you!

OH MY GOODNESS . . . "Andrews and Boyd” was a household name for us! I smiled as I read your words. How great to connect with you after many years. It’s easy for most of us to assume others have life put together . . . I don’t know why either! Thankful to hear God’s been faithful to you through troubles and offenses . . . we all encounter them as well! - Colleen
