  • What if you could sit down with one of the greatest creative influencers of all-time and ask him anything?
    Well...I did just that.
I recently pulled out of the archives an interview I did with one of my life-long friends and mentors Chuck Swindoll.
Over the span of his career and ministry, he has been one of the greatest influences on my life. We have been dear friends since I was a boy growing up. Through the years, our family has been close and I’ve had the honor of working on projects with their family and ministry for over thirty years.
The ripple effect of your life can have a massive effect on others.
As a child, I studied his disciplines; his work ethic, his commitment to his craft, his family, and his platform. As I watched, his fruit grew on other people’s trees around the globe through over seventy books, his sermons, his publishing company, and his radio ministry. His down-line of mentors eventually became my mentors.
There are moments in life where you strike gold. This interview is one of them.
I want to share this conversation with you as a gift as I hope it will impact you as much as it has me.
If you are a writer, painter, or creative, this talk will be one of the greatest investments of time you could make in your development as an artist. This talk is one of my cherished moments in my life to learn the secrets of creativity from a master who leverages every gift to glorify God.
If you want to learn from a master, grab a coffee, get quiet, and fill your cup by watching our talk. You’ll be encouraged, gain a renewed hope, and focus on your creative future.
The talk is roughly an hour but feels like twenty minutes.
Join us as we unpack challenging topics such as:
How to keep creating in turbulent times
    How to respect your craft
    How to overcome self-doubt
    The importance of self-awareness
How to be prolific as a creative
How to handle critics and haters
    How to deal with perfectionism
    How to “show up”
The difference between a hobbyist and a professional
How to keep creating when life throws interference at you from all directions
How to handle the inner critic
    About Chuck:
Chuck’s prolific writing ministry has blessed the body of Christ for decades. Beginning with You and Your Child in 1977, Chuck has contributed more than 70 titles to a worldwide reading audience.
Charles R. Swindoll has devoted his life to the accurate, practical teaching and application of God’s Word and His grace. A pastor at heart, Chuck has served as senior pastor to congregations in Texas, Massachusetts, and California. Since 1998, he has served as the founder and senior pastor-teacher of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, but Chuck’s listening audience extends far beyond a local church body. Chuck’s extensive writing ministry has also served the body of Christ worldwide and his leadership as president and now chancellor of Dallas Theological Seminary has helped prepare and equip a new generation for ministry. I love Pastor Chuck Swindoll. I have listened to his teaching for years. I love the joy God has given him. I bought some of his books. I am now 80 years old and a wife, Mama, Granmama and great Granmama. That is my calling in life that Jesus has given me. ❤

Thank you, Mr. Swindoll. Thank you, Noah. I was brought to tears, inspired, and given so much hope for my creative life and career from listening to this interview. Where are the comments?!? This video interview should probably be in every lesson ever taught to creatives. I'm awestruck. This guest of Noah's is one of the most insightful (pun intended) men of God who is of our time. And he's talking about being creative and navigating life as a creative person. I have so much more to say. I'll refrain but not without sharing this with others. Thank you again.

Was so blessed to hear Chuck Swindoll at Biola Chapels in the late 70's. Remember standing in line to get a seat at the old church on Malvern.

Good interview...interesting. Also loved to hear that Chuck Swindoll used to make jokes at his wife's expense, so now I'll be inspired to look at things in my life that I need to admit and change.

Thank you Noah for this. Mr. Swindolll is and has always been a man who I have looked to for strength in the Lord. I have seen him as a person of depth in his teachings and I love that. Everything in my life comes from a deeper meaning than most people I know and it can become a lonely place to be when many are shallow and self absorbed. I don't say that with malace only with observance. As it is said some see nothing as a miracle others see everything as if it were a miracle. the latter is me. Please thank Mr. Swindoll for his dedication to giving his best work to us. He is truly a wonder to me.
