Everyone I read and talk to says to change it once per year. It doesn't look any different to me after a year, but the minerals have all been dispersed by then and it's time for a new one. IF you lived in a warmer climate, you could do every 6 months, but in Illinois definitely, once per year, preferably at the beginning of the swim season so you can get the most benefit.
Can you do a review on the nature 2 fusion soft generators. Does it come in two parts or is everything in the box that you need? I see you have the generator but is there something that hooks up to the electricity?
th-cam.com/video/HpF1tWkakRk/w-d-xo.html I didn't install it, but I believe it's all one piece.I'm pretty sure the only electrical runs through the 3 prong connector at the top of the salt cell. Hope that helps
I've read trace materials like silver and copper are good at sanitizing, and I would think those are in there, but I'm not really sure. I read the websites of other brands and silver and copper are what I keep seeing. You might find more, but that's what I found. Good question.
How do you know it's time to change it? I am in illinois and only use my pool part of year
