How lucky are u that that didnt leak. Those damn things leak on me everytime i add tabs. I gotta open 5 damn times before i get it to stop leaking. Also, probably needs a new oring eh!?
Are you telling me I can add chlorine tabs directly into the chlorinator without buying those ridiculously expensive z-paks? My pool store NEVER told me this information :(

Greg Henderson I’m doing the same thing! For the past year I’ve been refilling the z packs with my own chlorine. I did reach out to the manufacturer and this is what they said “It is highly advisable to not put the chlorine directly into the container. I've seen the inside deteriorate very quickly when in direct contact with chlorine tablets.” However, I can’t seem to even get a chlorine reading using the zpacks which made me wonder if I could just put the chlorine in directly and skip the “middle man”.
We have always added 3" trichlor tabs directly into the chlorine side of the Fusion- there is a heavy duty black sleeve tube that fits a 3" tab very snug. If you use 1" tabs, they may dissolve much quicker and require a bit more attention. We have stepped away from replacing the cartridge on the Fusion Nature2 side as well, we place PoolRX booster pucks in the pump basket. Similar product, much less cost.Beware- they are very toxic. We have had a number of the Nature2 cartridges burst and loose a lot of pool water for our customers, so we stepped away from all Nature2 replacement cartidges. We just leave that side completely alone and treat the fusion unit like a chlorinated only.
Rainbow chlorinator cap o-ring works as an acceptable replacement. Much cheaper and my techs usually have one.
I’m so new to this that it took 8 tries and 30 min to get this right.
Because those chlorinators are a huge pain n the ass thats why. It aint just u man, no worries.

@Cougars & Tigers do you use the 1" tablet or 3".mine came with the 1" tablet cartridge that I simply pried the top enough to add more
time for a new oring... they aren't cheap!

Mine did too! They said to get a new O-ring, even though mine was new and it worked. I had no problems since then.

@Cougars & Tigers the Nature2 that you have might be smaller..in mine which is new I think I would have to remove the zpack and the jacket it sits in.
