Very interesting... I have some old jeans I've been wanting to use in a journal, maybe as a cover or even inside in some way, and then even maybe various Holiday tags or ornaments. This is a wonderful technique for many uses; and I agree with you regarding the lighter colors or even black possibly. Love the texture on the calico fabric so I'll definitely be experimenting with that. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to next weeks creatives using these made today. Enjoy your weekend and please stay safe.
Wonderful results. Always a learning process. Wondering if you would have mixed the paint & fabric medium directly on the plate then spreading out with the brayer and using all the remaining paint would yield a more vibrant image. Looking forward to the next video. :)
Love your videos! I am learning a lot from them. Can you tell me the name of the stencil that has the green with the mustard color and possibly where you got it? I's beautiful!
Great ideas, inspiring! I think I might use a metallic gold or copper on my denim, as the pieces I have are quite dark. I think the contrast of work fabric and luxury gold might be interesting, depending in the stencil I use. Thank you so much! (I actually watched this AFTER I watched part 2, so I am planning my colors and stencils based on that.
Hello - thank you for this video. After paining with either fabric paint or an addition of a fabric medium to acrylic, is there anything else I need to do to the fabric to be sure it is colorfast?
Thanks - I didn't prewash these. If I were making something that would be washed at some future point (eg a garment, home decor etc) I would have prewashed in case of shrinkage.
Thank you Teresa, enjoying a break from work with a cuppa and your video 😊 I love printing on fabric x
Thank you for your great explanations. Looking forward to trying som fabric in the gel plate. Absolutely love the floral design on the calico 💕💕💕

What a great idea, I have tons of fabric paint..canvas is not porous so that’s why that happened..
These are so pretty.

Love this😍
Thank you for doing this. Very helpful. Did you prewash the fabric before using?

Do you heat set the fabric medium after printing?
I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with the fabric pieces!
Yes, I followed the instructions on the fabric medium.
Lovely!! What was that 3rd stencil?
Which do you mean? The one I used on the calico? If so, it is from Joggles.com (one of their own designs 9x12 inch)
Can I print on polymer clay using the gelli plate
I don't know. I don't use polymer clay. I assume once it is baked you can , as you can paint on it with acrylics once baked.
