Dude... I have perfect pitch, and your tuning, especially on the double stops, are pretty amazing. Congrats. It must've taken a ton of practice and listening to get used to those shifting maneuvers... Awesome performance!

Yes you may also hear more then one violin...i record tracks on top of each other....and then when i'm done recording the entire song and all the harmonies I want with it, I record the video component of it and then put the sound and video together. Obviously what you see me playing in this video is not the sound you here...it is done that way on purpose. The backing track would not sound good if played by speakers then recorded again

Hi thank you for the kind commments. I'm not sure what the name of the song it, I think its just Phantom or the Opera theme or something like that. Unfortunately I can't help you out because I don't have any sheet music for this song because I played it off of listening to the vocal version of it
#missliss I play the violin and I can tell he isn't faking this he may have pre recorded it but he is not faking it, and if you are a fellow violinist then you would know that if you are playing a note loudly and take your bow off the string it will keep on ringing until you play the next note.

Primrose Violet I have heard of background music, but Benedict Cumberbatch does NOT play the violin. Sure he may have had some coaching prior to the episode(s) but the sound production did a horrible job of matching his playing to the music (which was not background music) What do I mean by it not being background music? You could tell he was "playing" it but it was horribly done.

Your vibrato is very aesthetically pleasing, I don't even think my teacher is that loose and relaxed, especially for the pinky! I know I'm not that good, but I play viola, so the style is a little different anyway. Great job!
