I used this device today when I want to play newly purchased PS1 games that are hard to win at without spending many hours playing them like:Um Jammer Lammy,Syphon Filter 3,etc.
Hey Kevin loved the video definitely really helpful!!!! I had a couple questions I was really hoping you could help answer for me. Question #1. Does the game shark disk you have have Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden memories cheats on it? question #2. are the gameshark memory cards like you used to save the codes on are those ps1 and ps2 specific or can they be used for either or?
Where can I buy this special memory card? I just bought the ps1 and ps2 bundle and it only came with the discs. I can't add games or codes. So I'm just wondering where I could buy it
If I have a PS1/PSOne, this version of the Gameshark, and a Gameshark memory card, how do I add my own games and codes? I see no menu selection for it anywhere.
I don't know if anyone will see this but I need some help. I am trying to find an opening video to a gameshark I had a while ago. I don't remember the name of it. I know it needed one of these memory cards. But this video started with a women in latex showing cleavage. The video will pop into my head and I can't remember how it goes and it pisses me off. Please help my sanity.
oh I have to go through my closets but nes 2 versions of game genie / action replay for saturn / gameshark n64 / for ps1 I forget name but plus in port on first model / genesis game genie / snes game genie / gamesharks and cide breaker for ps2 / gamw shark for dreamcast / more I probably cannot remember lol.....
Kevin Twiner Yep the gameshark I have look like that. It only let me pick codes and there is no way to edit or add codes. Umm what does that gameshark memory card do?
Okay I will like to see that. I just found my GS card but I only have 1 and I can't tell if this card is for the ps1 or ps2. I got it off a yard sell months ago. Does the card work on a ps2 slot with the GS disc playing in the ps2? Oh and mine don't say Gameshark 2 V2 but it looks like this thumbs.ebaystatic.com/images/g/qCQAAOSwWZ9Xn8yH/s-l225.jpg
It disc says game shark 2v2 at top for PS1 does this have tekken cheats I see other gameshark discs for PS1 on eBay does this disc have any tekken 3 cheat codes
Ok, I have so many questions.... how many versions of the PS1 gameshark were there? Was v2 the final version? AND, do the different versions support certain games? Say I got an old version, and it supports games like Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil, and any others that came out in either 1995 or 1996.... but then, say I got a later version, and none of those games were supported, but others were, like Crash Bandicoot 3, Silent Hill or others that came out in 2000 and later? OR, do later versions (the final version at that) support just about all games that ever came out on the PS1? And I'm sorry if my last question seems confusing; I've only ever used gamesharks for the N64, and now I'm wanting to look into ONE for my PS1, but yeah, is there a definitive version I should go for?
not sure on how many or last but you can add the codes to any of the versions! i have several versions an just find the game shark code to the game I want to mess around with!
🤔 So, when using a PS1 modded with an optical drive emulator [such as Xstation = reading from microSD card(s)] and while using virtual memory card storage of a MemCard Pro, I'd possibly have to seek out all versions of GameShark (and with respective memory card filesaves/parallel port hardware?) for transferring onto MemCard Pro's respective virtual memory card [page(s)] and microSD card(s) inside the Xstation? Seems like a decent amount of work but I suppose I could seek all that out..... Would very much like to know where these files might already be available for download, though, to save alot of time and if any parallel port swapping of any GameShark hardware revisions would be only be absolutely required. Don't mind putting in a little more money into the project but wouldn't mind keeping with my theme of saving money and, especially, streamlining GameShark use for the PS1 across NTSC-U, PAL and, eventually, NTSC-J libraries. Hm. 😐😑😐🤔 Am wondering if in one of Adam Koralik's videos whether I saw various GameShark releases among his list of games on the Xstation or maybe an older video of the old PSIO project.... 🏃♂️
I went out and got this model at a retro game store today and I'm having trouble getting to run on my ps2 slim. I get the typical Sony Playstation logo but then I just get a black screen yet I still hear the music playing. Do you think the problem is with my gameshark or my machine?
Kevin Twiner Thanks for the head's up. I bought it hoping it would help me unlock everything for my copy of _JoJo's Bizarre Adventures_ and some of the special Edelions in _Final Fantasy 9_. I guess I'll just have to ask some friends to see if they have an old ps1 I can use for a bit. Do you know if this gameshark has codes for those games on it? I'm having trouble finding a list of what cheats are available.
Has it been ascertained as to whether or not there was ever a final release of GameShark or similar to device that had all previous codes from previous revisions all included in a final release? Also, is their respective required hardware revisions that are required in the parallel port for those that had the parallel port plug-in?
I havent yet bought a gameshark, but I want to use it for Driver 2 on the psone and the cheat sites list out different gameshark cheat codes that you have to manually enter. But from your video it looks like you can only choose to enable pre-designated codes. Is there an option to add the codes you want?
Someone elsewhere here in the comments portrayed to me that a regular, MagicGate memory card would work.... I'm wanting to hear whether, if that's true, if the MemCard PRO for PS1 and the MemCard PRO2 for PS2 will satisfy their respective GameShark releases..... 👀🤷♂️
@@KevinTwiner Awesome! I have the Gameshark Lite on the PlayStation One on my birthday gift last April🎂and it shows lots of games from Twisted Metal 2 to Ace Combat 3.😊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Hey Kevin. I have a question for you. This is my first time using the gameshark and it appears we both have the same gameshark disc (I believe). I wanted to use codes for the original resident evil game. The 2 codes I tried using were "Infinite Health" and "Press Triangle for Health" I deactivated all of the codes for that game except those two (because I wasn't sure if too many codes would crash the game) So when I go to play it, I would hit the start menu to access inventory and the game freezes. Do you may know any solutions to this?
@@KevinTwiner thank you! I think I found the solution. I had to play the directors cut verison because I don't think the OG resident evil works with gameshark even though it does but it crashes every time lol. Thank you anyway man! And your video helped me as well.
Kevin Twiner thanks man! yea I found the codes online so how do I input the codes and do I need the gameshark memory card to use them? and can i use this disc on a ps3? i have a ps1 just wondering if i could. Sorry for all the noob questions im new to using gameshark >.
Sorry I can't remember what the process was. And all my game's are in storage till our home 🏡 is repaired from floods. But I will get you a answer as soon as I can ☺️
Hey there, I just bought this same CD (I have PS2 disk too) When I go to the main menu it doesn't have a option menu to add codes....does that mean I cannot add cheat codes? :( I really wanted to add a few more codes for my Saga Frontier PS1 game. Could you please let me know? Thank you. ~Kristina
Kevin Twiner You wouldn't happen to know the size of the TOC would you? I have been looking online for the iso of it and come up with nothing... If you can rip the image and upload it would be highly appreciated.

I wish need to buy this for my system. This game shark features all those codes for all PS1 games, including R4: Ridge Racer Type 4.
This was called the "Pro Action Replay PC Comms Link" in the UK.
So I would need your region's Pro Action Replay for all PAL games, correct?
Was there a final release that covered the entire PAL library of titles?
2:13 god that’s so nostalgic
Yes it is.. still working and in use 😁🎴
