I'm from Australia, my dad is cultural Orthodox Christian non practicing and my mum is Muslim but she was always scared to teach Deen (Ethiopian culture to follow Dad) and wasn't practising but now she's very strong in her Deen for the last few years praise Allah. I had almost the same exact experience. I reverted to Islam when I was very young, around 21. After a few years I got very into debates and learning and started to have doubts and started to get very emotionally attached to arguments of Christians on salvation, etc. Unfortunately I started calling myself a Christian and even enrolled in a seminary and started learning. Through that learning I left every denomination I came into contact with and ultimately realized that Islam was in fact the truth. Over time I realized I went way too fast when I was way too young. Having matured (a little) and calmed down, alhamdulillah I came back to Islam and have never been happier. When I was a Christian I fell into sinful habits and now just praying the salah is more valuable to me than anything else. Please pray for me.

I legit cried when he said after everything he has done, Allah is so merciful is let you back in Islam. Went through similar situation like him and alhamdullah I reverted to Islam.

I also was a revert who left Islam but after seeing my doubts clarified through online research by the Grace of Allah I came back to Islam. I feel at ease and peace alhamdulillah
I am happy for you brother. But you have to understand there will always be trials and tribulations and the stronger you get, the harder it will become. My advice to you and everyone who suffers from doubts about islam is, just be patient. Allah will eventually pull you out of your state of confusion and guide you as long as you stay patient. Allah sent us here to test us, so of course there will always be trials and tribulations but Allah loves the patient. HE will always guide you as long as you ask for HIS guidance and stay patient. My brother, never leave Allah for anything. Just imagine if you died right after leaving islam. Nothing worse than Dying as a disbeliever. I thank Allah for guiding you back to islam, indeed HE is the most merciful, ever loving. No matter what always remember, "indeed with hardship comes ease" (94:6 quran), "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear" (2:286).

I doubted my religion twice and you know what I found is that's not a good sign (forgot the hadith of a guy who comes in and out of Islam) . And since than I just stopped reading these idiots and started to take my faith seriously. Can you take the burden of people who got inspired by you at the day of judgement. I had a brother who first reverted and he and a Muslim brother gave me dawah, they were pretty relentlessly with the dawah only because my brother cared and knew I’d come around eventually, also with the the guidance of Allah. If you are wondering why we use the term "Revert" instead of "Convert" for the people who became Muslims, here is a Hadith for you: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be him) said, “Every child is born with the fitrah(the natural state of man, i.e., Islam), then his parents make him into a Jew or a Christian or a Magian.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)" That means, every human being is a born Muslim, some go astray, and some return back to the right path by the guidance of Allah (SWT). And that's why we call them reverts.
i still don’t get it... as in I don’t understand why people make this a big deal. My parents were both converts and it’s only recently people will try to correct you when you use the word convert. Even if you were Muslim and then become something else (christian, buddhist, or something else) you still have to make a conversion. Convert is literally defined as changing ones religious form or belief... therefore if you believed in Christ as the Lord (astagfirallah) and then you didn’t believe it you converted. You could also say you reverted but you still did convert from one set of beliefs to another.
Muslims are already are unique... we don’t need to play with words to be unique. i just don’t understand why people changed the way we described the process of converting. and people will actually catch an attitude with you because you used the word convert and not revert.

Also Unfortunately they might not even Find answers from the people around them because everyone (specifically in third world muslim countires headed by Dictators) stopped seeking knowledge and are content with the bare minimum of prayers and ramadhan fasting, hell it's not uncommon for muslims to not pray at all in that kind of environment. Imams in Friday surmons always repeat the same regurgitated hollow Khutbas, they don't even do lectures on verses and chapters from the Quran. Islam and Quran always says "Please, ASK questions. Nothing is off limits" but when you don't find people of knowledge to answer you, or worse you don't even try to ask, that's when it's just sad. Time and time again I’ve heard that reverts leave Islam because there isn’t enough support for them in our community. This is a lesson learned for us. And for those considering Islam, know that we Muslims are not perfect but our religion is.
Islam is probably the most rationalistic religion on earth. I would say Judaism is a close second. Specially karaite Judaism. If you study religion on a serious level this is obvious. Im saying this as a Sefardi Jew. Christianity is the closest to paganism of the 3 Abrahamic religions. If you want to go deeper into it. In the ancient medieval world we were not even allowed to touch something a Christian touched. We coudnt purchase their goods because it was seen as tainted with their spiritual idolatry. We were permitted to engage Muslims as normal. So historically Judaism has always seen Islam as a path to Olam Habba.

@@mrmingsun As both Islam and Christianity contradict each other, one of them has to be correct and the other has to be false. So you cannot use "guided to" for both religions at the same time. Those who are in the correct religion are guided and those who are in the false religion are misguided. The reasons for being misguided in the false religion are many like personal biases, emotional reasons, following forefathers/friends/family/society, not scrutinizing own religion, not caring to learn about other religions, not having the access to the correct religion, Satan's whispers..... etc. But God gave us intellect which if used and followed, it surpasses everything else for coming to the true religion of God. And using that God given intellect, more people come to Islam than Christianity.

And you if already want Islam to be true then you wont pray this in the first place. I think you mean those people who have prayed to God saying "whatever the truth is, guide me to it." and ended up being Christian. They either haven’t prayed to the God of Jesus alone or were not sincere or were not unbiased/objective or haven’t found/accepted Islam YET. Im writing this comment here because David woods Channel keeps deleting my comments. Recently David Wood made a video of muslim man in India who shot his former girlfriend in the head. This man was obviously obsessed with her and he knew her from childhood and so the story goes . David Wood portrayed this video as this is what "Islam teaches" and made it seem like this man was screaming "Allah HU AKBAR" when he pulled the trigger. Couldn't this terrible incident be committed by a person of any religion or race ?. India is home to 172 million Muslims and they go to school, work and live together with hindhus. India is in a tense time at the moment and a lot Hindhu, Muslim organisations and religious leaders are working tirelessly behind the scenes to create peace and harmony. Isn't it un-christian like to create videos like this that are going to cause disunity and is only adding fuel to the fire in an already brittle Muslim - hindhu relationship in India. Why make a video of a country that you haven't even set foot on and you have so little knowledge about. His "Grasping at straws" videos are only causing harm and I hope Christians stop supporting this evil behavior.

Alhamdulillah the brother found his way back to Islam... But I would add the main reason people leave Islam is simple it's lack of education and lack of knowledge of the Deen! When one has a good education of Islam all the little questions anti-Islam preachers produce as problematic...etc have very simple answers! This is why getting a good education of Islam is important! Think how often or if you ever heard of a Ulama leaving Islam for Christianity... I can't think of one(why you dont hear about it because they're educated on the Deen)! Now think how many Christian Scholars, Monks, Nuns, Priest, Preachers,...etc you've heard of leaving Christianity for Islam there's so many you can't even keep track!
This reminds me of the du'a of Rasoolullah (SAW) when he asked for one of the two Umars of mecca to become Muslim. He wouldn't care. He cares about money only. Conversion of one of his Islamophobe colleagues to Islam doesn't ruin his business much, the cash still flows in so Wood is happy.

This whole idea that satan created Islam is from christian preachers. I once met an ex-christian who said his priest told him that the Quran was written by the devil. One day curiosity got the better of him and he started reading the Quran and eventually he became a Muslim.

Subhanallah. I got goose bumps when Abu yazid said how merciful Allah is!! He left Islam, joined David wood, and still Allah called him back!! Yes Allah is the most merciful to all of us, He's always giving us signs to come back to him. Even when being a muslim, we can be very far from Allah, yet He's always calling us back to Him. Abandoning/neglecting salaah is a sign of us being far from Him. May Allah make us among those who stay firm on the Deen.

I had almost the same exact experience. I reverted to Islam when I was very young, around 21. After a few years I got very into debates and learning and started to have doubts and started to get very emotionally attached to arguments of Christians on salvation, etc. Unfortunately I started calling myself a Christian and even enrolled in a seminary and started learning. Through that learning I left every denomination I came into contact with and ultimately realized that Islam was in fact the truth. Over time I realized I went way too fast when I was way too young. Having matured (a little) and calmed down, alhamdulillah I came back to Islam and have never been happier. When I was a Christian I fell into sinful habits and now just praying the salah is more valuable to me than anything else. Please pray for me.

I am happy for you brother. But you have to understand there will always be trials and tribulations and the stronger you get, the harder it will become. My advice to you and everyone who suffers from doubts about islam is, just be patient. Allah will eventually pull you out of your state of confusion and guide you as long as you stay patient. Allah sent us here to test us, so of course there will always be trials and tribulations but Allah loves the patient. HE will always guide you as long as you ask for HIS guidance and stay patient. My brother, never leave Allah for anything. Just imagine if you died right after leaving islam. Nothing worse than Dying as a disbeliever. If you are wondering why we use the term "Revert" instead of "Convert" for the people who became Muslims, here is a Hadith for you:
"The Prophet (peace and blessings be him) said, “Every child is born with the fitrah(the natural state of man, i.e., Islam), then his parents make him into a Jew or a Christian or a Magian.”
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)"
That means, every human being is a born Muslim, some go astray, and some return back to the right path by the guidance of Allah (SWT). And that's why we call them reverts.
i still don’t get it... as in I don’t understand why people make this a big deal. My parents were both converts and it’s only recently people will try to correct you when you use the word convert. Even if you were Muslim and then become something else (christian, buddhist, or something else) you still have to make a conversion. Convert is literally defined as changing ones religious form or belief... therefore if you believed in Christ as the Lord (astagfirallah) and then you didn’t believe it you converted. You could also say you reverted but you still did convert from one set of beliefs to another.
Muslims are already are unique... we don’t need to play with words to be unique. i just don’t understand why people changed the way we described the process of converting. and people will actually catch an attitude with you because you used the word convert and not revert.

@@mrmingsun As both Islam and Christianity contradict each other, one of them has to be correct and the other has to be false. So you cannot use "guided to" for both religions at the same time.
Those who are in the correct religion are guided and those who are in the false religion are misguided.
The reasons for being misguided in the false religion are many like personal biases, emotional reasons, following forefathers/friends/family/society, not scrutinizing own religion, not caring to learn about other religions, not having the access to the correct religion, Satan's whispers..... etc.
But God gave us intellect which if used and followed, it surpasses everything else for coming to the true religion of God.
And using that God given intellect, more people come to Islam than Christianity.

This man was obviously obsessed with her and he knew her from childhood and so the story goes . Couldn't this terrible incident be committed by a person of any religion or race ?. India is home to 172 million Muslims and they go to school, work and live together with hindhus. India is in a tense time at the moment and a lot Hindhu, Muslim organisations and religious leaders are working tirelessly behind the scenes to create peace and harmony. Subhanallah. I got goose bumps when Abu yazid said how merciful Allah is!! He left Islam, joined David wood, and still Allah called him back!! Yes Allah is the most merciful to all of us, He's always giving us signs to come back to him. Even when being a muslim, we can be very far from Allah, yet He's always calling us back to Him. Abandoning/neglecting salaah is a sign of us being far from Him. May Allah make us among those who stay firm on the Deen.

SubhanAllah it's very clear to us Muslims that Islam is true and sometimes we find it odd for someone to reject Islam but at the end it actually comes down to God's guidance to whomever he wills no matter how much evidence and proof you present to someone.
