I was taken aback. I used ur nice vocab as much as I could. I hope to get a good score. The way u teach is adorable.

    I have been studying English recently, and I just discovered your channel and I really feel extremely lucky. Thank you so much. There are some sentences I made up about this topic:
    *My sister's fionce has gone to Italy, so she has been really missing him lately.
    *I love travelling and I have been to many countries including Spain, France, Poland, Netherlands and Italy.
    *They dont't know how to deal with it. They have been trying to understand what's going on first.

    • @anonymeironikerin2839
      @anonymeironikerin2839 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first example sounds strange, since in this context a state is described. You would say " so she has missed him recently".

      @@asyademirkol5268 Your welcome. I've the feeling that my explanation was a little bit superficial, so let me explain it in detail.
      In your example you used miss in the sense of regret the absence of someone. In this case it is a state verbs (usually words that describing feelings are so called state verbs).
      But you can say something like " I've been missing my glasses for 2 days!". In this case miss is used in the sense of notice the absence of something.

    Hello. I am from Ukraine, but now I am temporarily in Britain with my child. I am very grateful to you for your teaching. Most local English courses, in particular the Functional skills course, are incomprehensible to Ukrainians. There you can often hear the phrase "You can probably hear that the sentence sounds wrong" from the teacher. No, I can't). With grammar, the situation is even worse..

    This is one of the best videos I have ever watched. As a matter of fact, I had been struggling to understand the difference between present continuous and present perfect continuous until I watched the video and from now on I will have been using these tenses much more accurately than I used to. By the way I have been watching your videos for approximately 6 months and on 3rd October Saturday evening I will have taken my exam. Your videos are really like a needle in a haystack in this way that is why I have never missed watching one of your videos. I hope I will come top in my exam rather than scraping through it
