    What the most important thing to you in an alert service like SE or Streamlabs?

    • @tennisturtle4175

      How good the alerts are

      Style and function of them, are they responsive and how much customisation I have.

      Functionality for sure. Doesnt matter how good they look if they dont work. Next I guess would be customization AND making it understandable to use.

    I am watching this a year later and I finally switched to Stream Elements. Three factors made the push:
    1- Alerts are incredibly unreliable with Streamlabs. You can refresh the cache in OBS studio, or downright clear all your cache in Streamlabs OBS and they still do not work properly.
    2- Stream Elements does not force you to use their own version of OBS (even though they got OBS Live) in order to use their pre-designed themes and allows you to edit them to your heart's content as you do it on Stream(dot)me. You can also just create your own in Stream Elements for free.
    3- Stream Elements is just better at consolidating all the tools you need to manage your stream.

    I wish I would’ve known that streamelements protected from chargebacks before. I’ve had several chargebacks with stream labs :( had to pay basically over 100 for chargebacks. Choose streamelements guys!

    Absolutely amazing Doc. As always. Really detailed comparison. And if I may... I've seen lots of streams loosing themselves in the screens. So I think would be helpful for the community some tips on how to organize the windows. What to keep always visible, what u dont need to keep track all the time. For me... HOW TO BENEFIT FROM VERTICAL MONITOR ORIENTATION... The best ways to optimize your screen real state with what really matter. Suggestions for 1 monitor, 2 monitors, vertical mount, ultrawide, superultrawide, 3 monitors, TieFighter... I really would like to see your input and how to organize better for a better stream experience. Happy Streaming.

    I moved over to StreamElements because streamlabs turns most of their options and features into prime only, even the things that used to be FREE to use for everybody. FINALLY, something I can really agree with you on my friend. While we don't see eye to eye on a lot of your perspectives of Twitch, and the culture, I vehemently applaud the dedication and content you provide to new folks attempting to enter our sphere. I know it's not popular these days, but it's okay to disagree and still respect someone in 2019 for what they do, and what they bring to the platform. I also STRONGLY agree with your choice to go with Stream Elements. I've worked closely with the team for years, and they've put out some amazing and incredible stuff.

    First and foremost thank you for the knowledge that you’ve been sharing throughout your videos. I’m a new streamer and I’ve been having a difficult time learning the OBS studios system while using a Mac book pro and you have been giving me some clarification on a few things. however question is, does stream elements allow you to use custom overlays that you had made by graphic designers; outside of their company/site?

    • @khadargaming9203
      @khadargaming9203 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can use your own overlays made by a graphic designer.

  • @iaintgud6961
    @iaintgud6961 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just started streaming and it was stupid easy to configure some of their existing themes. Modifying them is pretty easy too. My only complaint so far is when I transition from one scene to another it can take a couple seconds for the overlay to load. I can go into studio mode and click on the scene I will switch to which preloads the page, but it's just an extra step for me to mess up if I need to pop out for a minute.

  • @williamgilbert712

    Hey man. I really wish you would do some more in depth videos on how some of these things work. For example some tutorials on how to actually put an overlay on your channel and if you could just make a example. It would be cool if you made another twitch account pretending you were starting from scratch and show us how you do everything. You make adding an overlay seem so easy but there are a couple software involved how do you put them through your pc together to actually make the end product and things like that. Really like your videos hope all your channels do great and i will definitely be subscribing.

    Music? Style of music? Really enjoyed the music in the background in this video and would love to base some of my stream music on this

    Hey Harris Good video on Stream elements. I've been trying to figure out a rotating widget like what you have linked for elements but for labs. Could the same script also work for labs? Or am I better to jump ship and swim on over to elements.
