The Thing in Egypt Valley That Got Dug Up

Something peculiar lurks in a wild pocket of overgrown scrub meadows mixed with deep, young woodland in Belmont County, Ohio. It is just off Interstate 70, and those who pass along the highway usually sense that there is more to the land than meets the eye. It has an uninviting appearance in certain areas, and justly so. The once rich land was stripped clean by seventy years of surface mining. It left it a bleak and barren wasteland, inhospitable and desolate, with its terrain so deeply gashed and gouged that it is unidentifiable from the once tidy rolling hillsides of yesteryears. It was as if when peeling back the flesh of the terrain, then gouging out the soul of the land, something wicked was freed from the bowels of the earth. Something long buried. Something that should never return. It's the thing in Egypt Valley that got dug up. Something so dreadfully evil, it still walks as if the land beneath its feet is still quite dead.

I grew up not far from there in Belmont in the 70's and 80's and there used to be wild cattle that romed Egypt valley ❤

He up here. N lived in piedmont. Hung out there in hs n after in Egypt. Have taken ghost hunters down there. They got all kinds of recordings n eerie happen I took them to ask the sites n unknown to most . Needless too say they won't come back n haven't it freaked them out so bad had Carr.. we assume a man's voice at the murder site saying get out n other. Eliza s brother witnessed the murder they also had a little boys sound whimpering.

I’ve been here several times up to both cemeteries and pretty much got ran off, they say it’s guarded by people

Probably at night. But during the day, I've never had a problem.
