holy crap....i dont have a bike license or even a car license....but truth be told. i just watched this whole video. if you (and a lot of other youtubers) were my teachers in school id probs be a rocket scientist..you are so engaging, your delivery is on point.
59 seconds to 1:09 I'll happily spend that 10 bucks. I value my time. I don't dislike taking a little time to ensure my bike runs like a champ and stays reasonably clean ( once a month or every other month wash and wax too), but If I can save a good 2 to 3 minutes or more in cleaning my chain and it ends up still 100% clean, that is 10 bucks well spent for me.
Hey Ryan! You have in your explainer videos what is called an off sync between your Camera shutter speed and your lights frequency. This results in a band running across the bottom and slowly moving up - especially in the segment when you explain in front of the blackboard. You'll see it more clearly if you keep forwarding 5 seconds every time while playing - the band keeps shifting. This is because most cameras have rolling electronic shutter. Tell whoever's behind the camera to change their shutter speed and / or change the shooting frequency from 50 Hz to 60 Hz (or vice versa) until this effect goes off. Its very slight, so you're ALMOST at the right shutter speed.
I'm guessing you all have seen it , but one of my favorite videos was Ryan's video on chain lubes. It changed how I think about chains and lubing them.
@@jimtaucher791 I got one with the can of chain cleaner. It works great and is lighter and smaller to carry on longer trips than the 3 sided brush. Hint: Bring along heavy duty Nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean when using it, then when you are done turn the gloves inside-out trapping the collapsed brush inside, keeping your hands and tool kit clean.
Unless you use old toothbrushes on your retro chain, $10 is what most chain brushes cost. This looks more effective than a grunge brush and easier to store in the cap of the lube. Oh BTW, you don't need a bunch of thick lube to oil a modern sealed chain. Many of us gunk them up for no reason. A light lube on the outside to prevent rust and slick the sprocket picks up a lot less grit than a bunch of grease. The roller grease is already sealed inside if you don't destroy it with excessive cleaners
One of the few youtubers telling us to stop watching and start doing, and I respect that. Also damn it's been an age since I did any decent trail riding
I have been using the Tyrox chain cleaner for years. You can buy it separate from their cleaner also. I don't stretch it out, although that would make it easier to attach it to the chain. I use it in compressed form when cleaning. The bead balancing is a great idea, but I go one better and use Ride-On tire balancer and sealant. You have to put it in the same way (through the valve stem minus the valve core) Best done off the bike but can be added after a new set of tires is put on. If the set is already counter-weighted it doesn't matter. Or you can remove the weights once you put in the Ride-On. I've had this stuff save me having to plug a tire on a ride more than once.
I have the gas mover and love it! I'm a senior and use it to fill my boat, and motorcycle if needed! With the prices of gasoline jumping all over, I'll fill allmy vehicles and four large jerry cans when it's cheaper saving some$$$. This will offset the cost of the pump very fast! I actually got it cheap at an automotive store selling them out. Battery operated, lasts a long time and is convenient. And yes you don't spill a drop our struggle to hold up 25 liters of gas when starting to fill a tank!

"Otherwise known as a mass on a wheel on a spring, otherwise known as an engineer's wet dream". As an engineer I completely understand and appreciate the philosophical tug of war between physicists and engineers!
I have used the pump for several years and really love it!!! I leave my gas cans on the trailer, drive up next to it and fill the bike! also works when I get back from the ride and fill the generator!!
Those chain brushes are great! Had one for years (although spread to put on the chain and compress to clean, then just wizz the wheel round a few times). But I guess the old way works too :)
Thanks for explaining the balancing beads. I've noticed my tires feel out of balance when going way too fast. Ride-On works well otherwise. I guess next time I'll get them balanced.
I do have the Tirox brush... It came with my can of Tirox cleaner. To be honest, I think it's worth the money. Their cleaner and the brush do a great job of cleaning a chain. It's worth the extra few bucks. Spray the chain, put the brush on, hold it with your hand while you spin the wheel around a few times, rinse and voila... A great clean chain. I bought the cleaner with the brush included for $14.99. Cdn at my local Suzuki dealer. Be a man, buy the brush.
Sorry, but the Tirox brush is one of the best cheap tools I've bought for the bike. Screw on the brush, get the rear tire off the ground and spin the tire to run the brush over the chain. Works better than a regular brush and much faster.
I have one of those fuel pumps and it is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have several gas motors attached to my lawnmower, snowblower, and motorcycles. This makes filling a snap and as RyanF9 points out, you can drain most of the gas out of a tank if you need to. I have a BMW K1200LT so yeah, I'm doing that whenever I want to change the fuel filter.

@@Bill-v650 was thinking the same thing, you're basically running your entire palm (even if gloved) against the worst muck and road grease known to man. While the 1-sided brush seems a bit more tedious I got the 3-sided one for some $5 of Aliexpress. Have been using the same one for a year, works like a charm and I never had to scrub that stuff of anything else.
@@Bill-v650 I mean you can buy a box with like a hundred latex gloves for 5 bucks.
I have one and they're great. I do wear nitrile gloves when I use it though.
Hi Ryan, another great video. As a Brit and a TMF subscriber I was you on his channel last week. Excellent, really enjoyed it and once again you demonstrated your ability and humility in equal measure. Keep up the fantastic work.
Ari Henning swears by that brush, and he's the king of clean chains, so...
All Hail Ari---
Still the best damn motorbike product review channel ever hands down, Thanks Ryan!!
"you don't need these"
me wallet whimpers knowing me better...
holy crap....i dont have a bike license or even a car license....but truth be told. i just watched this whole video.
if you (and a lot of other youtubers) were my teachers in school id probs be a rocket scientist..you are so engaging, your delivery is on point.
3:39 is way too funny😂
Balls deep funny.
Ryan: But let's move on before we get demonetised
*ph intro plays anyway*
Same name as Elon’s baby! 😂
I almost spit my drink out, wasn't expecting it.
came for this
He's too much, man. Makes me laugh all the time.
MrSnowrocks ik i didn’t expect that 😂😂
Always a bright spot in my day to see a new video from Ryan and the channel
You're supposed to clean a chain ? i just squirt more lube
Cleaning is probably more important than lubricating it, lubes more for just rust prevention on most chains now with sealed grease.
Same here, it is self cleaning if one is riding often & far enought :)
It’s wd40 then more chain lube :)
@@JohSno , until you start losing O-rings because of the increased friction from abrasive sand.
I'm guessing you all have seen it , but one of my favorite videos was Ryan's video on chain lubes. It changed how I think about chains and lubing them.
I liked bloopers at the and. This is the best MC/MJ channel!
3:48 It's sod-er-ing iron. I will die on this hill because I'm an American and facts don't matter here.
this is the best damn motorcycle channel on YT
love the style, scientific explanations and content
KUDOS MAN!
We are waiting for your ktm adventure 390 review :)
Those Tirox brushes are amazing, bought one and then bought an additional two as spares, it's so good
F9 uploads, Esox watches. A simple ritual.
F9 uploads, we all watch. I guess there's a little Esox in us all :)
Best TH-cam channel bar none. Thanks for all the content!
Im sorry, the tirox chain brush literally turned a chore of cleaning the chain to something i can complete in 10 minutes including lube.
100% agreement here.
My curiosity is does it do as good of a job as a standard brush
@@jimtaucher791 I got one with the can of chain cleaner. It works great and is lighter and smaller to carry on longer trips than the 3 sided brush. Hint: Bring along heavy duty Nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean when using it, then when you are done turn the gloves inside-out trapping the collapsed brush inside, keeping your hands and tool kit clean.
What's the life though compared to the 3 sided brush?
Guess I need them now
I have been using the Tyrox chain cleaner for years.
Ok well I'm buying that brush and those glass balls immediately
I just checked and, yes, this is still the best motorbike related content online.
1st!
Nice!
2nd
:)
“Michelin Man’s butthole”..... hilariously perfect reference point. Lol
I have been watching you for years and years, I don’t think it was possible, but you are getting smarter !
314 comments within 2 hours holy smokes. Glad I found this dude a couple weeks ago. Pays to research when you buy your first bike. Very impressed with the content and delivery of this channel much like everyone else. Keep it up F9 🤙🏼
"Otherwise known as a mass on a wheel on a spring, otherwise known as an engineer's wet dream".
As an engineer I completely understand and appreciate the philosophical tug of war between physicists and engineers!
Each video is better than the last. Thank you for staying integrous!
The writer for this channel deserves an award... real talent!
I REALLY like the quality of your videos. Very professional work.
The best motorcyle channel ever, Send hello to Brazil! Obrigado
Another fun video and I’ve Used ceramic beads for years in car, trucks, motorcycle Tubes and TL.
Thanks for the great video
Dee
Sorry, but the Tirox brush is one of the best cheap tools I've bought for the bike. Screw on the brush, get the rear tire off the ground and spin the tire to run the brush over the chain. Works better than a regular brush and much faster.
“Centrifugal so called force.” Bless you, I now have hope for the future.
Centripetal
We definitely need an outtakes portion in every video from now on! Blubula!!
You always bring us such high quality videos. THANK YOU for not being some half ass wannabe and I really mean it.
