- Catarina has been with GreenDreams for so many years and happens to be the longest employee we've had. When she's not working in our Nursery, she is planting and growing food in her own yard! Her space is a wonderful example of a diverse Food-Forest in a small area! Enjoy the tour!

Please tell Catarina we appreciate all her hard work she's done at her home Pete and for you as well. What a valued employee you have and to see how much you appreciate her warms my heart! So many edibles.....👍🌱🥰
I love her mini food forest; you can tell she has a sense of humour too with how she planted that one tall tree between the two bushes.
🤣🤣
I came to see if anyone else noticed as well😂
She is such a blessing to this world.
Haha she must dislike the neighbor across the street, the pruned and shaped phallic bushes facing the street is hilarious. Thats an amazing yard. Must be nice to not have deer. Crazy that she can keep the weeds down in that large of an area.
🤣🤣
Love how she planted so much in such limited space...genius! It all looks so manicured also. GREAT job!🎉🎉🎉
You can tell she takes good care of those plants, very nice.
I live in urban South Florida and it’s intimidating to plant trees in my backyard! This is beautiful and inspiring :) would love a video on how to prune trees so they stay manageable
I was intimidated to start as well… but then got encouraged to JUST PLANT! And then I kept going and going. Little by little it turns into something beautiful and it’s always changing too bc the plants grow ❤it’s wonderful. Just start! 😊😊
Such a beautiful garden - catharina can be proud of this place she created 🌱🌿🐝🐞🦎
Such an awesome property. It’s wonderful to have someone like Catarina that makes her way of living also her passion and that’s so inspirational to us all. All of the plants I’ve ordered from GreenDreams are healthy and amazing so I can’t thank you all enough!😊
Thank you Catarina for letting Pete share your yard with us...beautiful 😍
Dazzling diversity! Well done, Catarina!
Wow! Catarina certainly does have a food forest in her limited area. It is beautiful!
Her yard looks amazing and is so inspirational to me also living in Spring Hill.
She sounds like a great employee too!
I need to visit your nursery.
Beautiful! Catarina has done a wonderful job in her yard. You have certainly found a priceless employee. The fact that she works with plants all day and comes home and does the same shows her passion. It is a blessing to get paid to do what you love. I think if more people made a living doing what they loved the products and services they provide would be of the highest quality. I regret that I did not follow my passion for growing sooner. Better late than never! Thanks to Catarina for sharing your home garden. Thanks Pete for all you share and teach! If you ever want to expand to SC I sure could use your assistance. Until then I will keep working at it with your advice. Maybe one day you will start a national garden tour and my place will be ready for you to visit! Thanks again for everything!
What a variety! Fantastic! Thanks for sharing Catarina!
She has a beautiful yard. Tell her Thank you!
She has a beautiful garden and using her space wisely.
Yes! A great model
Catarina seems like a gem...LOVE Katuk & the peanutty taste !...did not know there was a variegated variety...also didn't know Rose of Sharon has edible flowers, though as a hibiscus mallow family relative, that makes sense !
WOW, Caterina! I love your style of intensive planting. It's beautiful and everything looks so healthy and happy. This is so encouraging for folks who don't think they have the space to grow a variety of fruit trees, bananas, and papayas in their yard. And corn too! Lol Awesome! I agree that Pete should give you a Passion Vine and a couple of Monsteras to add to your collection of beautiful edibles. 😉😁 Thanks for sharing your passion for plants with us. I appreciate you. ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for highlighting Caterina! She is an inspiration! ❤
Glad you enjoyed!
Love blessed that Catarina.🎉
Delightful...thank you for sharing
Your videos are convincing me more and more to hurry up with fixing the house I bought so I could move in and start gardening.
Great Job Caterina! Absolutely beautiful edible landscape! You have definitely set an amazing example for your grass hole neighbors :)
great video Pete. It's nice to have wonderful people working for you She is quite a gem :)
She is wonderful!
That's awesome y'all!
Very nice video
Lots of happy plants and trees 🌻🦋
Bonus of working with plants .get to have own fruit tree forrest
Muy lindo, felicidades 👍💯🕊️🇨🇷.
What a great example of what you can to planting edibles and still have a beautiful yard/garden. Thank you for showcasing her hard work!
Glad you enjoyed!
Well this gave me hope and made me not feel so bad for planting some of my stuff close together! 😊
I'm so glad!
Catalin you my lady are an inspiration much love from DownUnder ❤😁
She’s pretty lucky with her jabaticaba. I’m in Dunnellon not to far north of you. I had a ten foot jabaticaba two feet off a south facing wall. Well that week of freeze we had December 22 pretty much killed it to the ground. I have another one under some oaks that barely survived.
im moving to dunnellon soon , mind telling me what tropical plants do well up there?
Hope im not the only dirty mind that noticed the trimmed hedge/tree in the beginning of the video😂 that cant be a coincidence😂
Couldn’t stop laughing. Can’t unsee that one.
Catarina is so nice, so helpfull when i have bought from them
Hey Uncle Pete, didn't think I'd be seeing you for a while😊.
That was very nice of Caterina to let you show Her Beautiful Plants in Her yard,Wow!
She has worked hard😍 .
JO JO IN VT 💞
I’d love to see updates on how she manages ultra-high density in such a small yard.
Great idea!
She is awesome!
Yes she is!
❤ beautiful garden.
What an amazing job.
Great to see what can a garden become. Utter beauty
Strategic layout she definitely knows what she’s doing. Great job👍
its always good to see a yard like that , rather than just a bunch of hedges and crap . ... pete do a video on what does good in zone 9b ! please
Our farm is in Zone 9B and a pretty good example, but yes sounds like a great video
@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL oh thanks I thought you further south then 9b I recently bought property in dunnellon and want to plant fruit trees and some bamboo , I will probably be ordering from you guys
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL dope lol, im in 9a just outside crystal river
Looks great Catarina!👊
Beautiful! Nice work!
Amazing work ❣️
Yayyyyyyy You are back! Great!
Beautiful garden!
this is beautiful
Beautiful. Well done.
Awesome 😎 thanks
I miss shrimp plants! I'll have to get some after I move.
Nice garden❤
Are we all acting we didn't see it?😂
Nice!
Fun video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@1:19
Tell me when you see it! 😂😮
buy the seedlings from her to help support her and getting some stock
My cherry of the rio grande has never looked that lush or grown much.
Where are you located?
That is impressive. I would be interested to know her fertilization schedule.
Hi I have a beautiful Florida garden! It’s high density
Very cool! thanks to you both for showing, I know you are very busy, but, i heard you and Jim talking about nematodes, how do you guys deal with them? If you have time, if not, i understand, thanks!
Healthy soil and the plants seem to thrive anyway, especially the annual crops that are usually finished by the time the nematodes start to affect them.
I just got to meet her today as we purchased quite a big local pick up order from you all. She was kind and helpful with picking out a few extras we weren't planning on buying. So A++ employee and person. We also love Ginger. I noticed that she is using weed barrier and did notice that pretty much everything had weed barrier at the local pick up site. What weed barrier product would you recommend that you use that actually lets water out with air circulation but prevents weeds? I need something like 4-6 ft wide by 600 ft long.
This was a fun video, I forgot about Katuk! I wish I could get some of it shipped in here in Kenya
Katuk is underrated!
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL Totally agree, I like that it tasted like green beans
Florida seems like a great place to homestead. I wonder about their zoning regs though
Are u heading over to Thiago workshop? Would be a good clip
You mentioned about the corn in the tree to keep out squirrels can you elaborate ?😊
I too am seeking ways to have the squirrels go elsewhere…they’ve eating the guava, avocado and mangoes before we have here
Other than the Yaupon Holly which cultivars contain enough caffeine and are extremely cold hardy?
Im zone 6 and holly plants grow great here. I'm not sure they contain caffeine and are suitable for consumption.
I been really thinking hard about moviing to Florida like here. Love the scenery of the neighborhood and my goal is to own a home and do garden like this!!. Is Florida really expensive? Does Hurricanes and tornadoes hit this part of town?
Florida is super expensive now. Most of the new neighborhoods give you no room to plant anymore 😢
@@mwnemo over here too where I stay. Most of the new neighborhood they built have tiny yards. I don't need no big house, something nice like the size of the ones in this video will be good enough for me. Are these houses in this video expensive?
that pair of ilex chilling with that tall tree in the middle kinda reminds me of something. ROFLMAO
🤣🤣
Austin Powers would like to have a word about the arrangements of those hedges at 1:22 😅
😂😂
Does it even freeze that far south? Something as cold hardy as that avocado could possibly be grown throughout the Southeast. Including here in Pensacola!
Yes that's probably possible most years
Whats going on @ 1:31 lol
What do you mean?
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL don't feel bad about not getting it. They're being crude. I didn't get it either until somebody else in the comments spelled it out.🙄 Too many people online have their minds in the gutter.😞
start over, you went too fast
