I have been watching wig videos for a couple of years now when my hair started to thin. I do not currently wear wigs, but believe that I may in the future. I have never seen such a comprehensive introductory review of what you need to know to wear a wig! Bravo! Very thorough and I learned a lot. Really liked the pros and cons of the different hair fibers. Appreciate you and your straightforward approach. Blessings!
Oh Frannie…you’d make a great tv host…or a model…or even be great at anything educational (no one is able to top your wealth of knowledge about wigs..and, no doubt, many other subjects which need some type of explanation). You look great in all the wigs. You radiate honest, positive energy when you speak (which is missing in this weary world). I’ll be emailing you…you know I will. Did you see the email of other wigs (which are on your website) I sent maybe 6 days ago)? You’re perfect at everything you do. I always loved Sunset myself. But no petite size. Next I might go a tad wavy. See? I don’t even have a wig yet….but I’m soooooo close. Thanks to you and your responses to all my questions. Way to go Frannie. Just hope you are able to find the color which looks almost the way my hair looked like for 30/40 years …..when it slowly began looking like tiny pale highlights (not from salon..from my hair beginning to have a few lighter strands from getting older and older) mixed in with the light golden honey. Need more pics? 😆😁. Hugs and much love to you and yours. 🙏🏻🫶🫶🫶🫶❤️❤️❤️💫💫💫🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 BTW….you’re in the wig review room studio so often…you think your head and neck are shrinking…only because those mannequin heads behind you have super duper long necks. 😆😂😘😘😘. Keep your eyes on the lookout for more petite wigs. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰 And thank you for all the effort and time you put forth to help all of us. I know…I’m the worst. 🤦♀️🤷🏼♀️
You are not the worst! I don't think I saw that email you are referring to. I'm going to go back and check. We'll find you something. You liked Petite Sullivan, right? Just not the color. Thank you for always watching and for always being so positive!😘❤️❤️
I wish I had this video 3yrs ago! I was so frustrated trying to navigate wigdom!!! Spent way too much money on wigs I never wear! You are breaking it down for new wig wearers-keep up the great work!!!! ❤❤
I agree! I also have some I don't wear either. If you could, on your demonstration of hair types, what color was the blonde heat friendly? Thank you Frannie!
Absolutely I have two sat on the side colours are fine but no monofilament far to much permatease so looks like birds nest much to much hair at the back so heavy sweaty and itchy both wigs over £150 I’m learning now 😊
Great video offering a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for the extra effort you put forth for your fellow wig wearers. It sure makes me feel more confident on my journey!!! Love you and your content on both wigs and crochet!!!!
I started to look at wigs about 3 years ago and it just terrified me. I did buy one, but it needed help and I could find a local hairdresser that had enough experience with wigs to help me, so I put it back in her box and I am not even sure where she is now. I am at the point that my hair has thinned so much I NEED A WIG. You popped up on my feed which is a blessing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. It helps a BUNCH!
It can be scary at first, but then it can be so liberating! I'm so glad you found me. I have a private Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/frannieshair We have over 2,200 ladies there helping and supporting one another on our wig journeys. You get to see many people wearing all different wigs, and we share tips/tricks, and all kind of information. I hope you'll join us!💕
Hello Frannie, I watched your video to the end but I will watch it again to have pen and paper ready to write some important guides to buying a wig and its maintenance, I learned a lot from your video. You are down to earth lady and thank you so much.
❤❤❤ Sunset is incredibly beautiful on you....blown away to know its a wig. Currently im looking for a bob. Ill be a first timer. Thanks too btw for being so kind on such a sensitive subject. For your detailed content right down to demonstrating the measurements. Ill definitely be ordering my first wig from you 😊❤
Thank you! Your online presence is so appreciated. My bio hair is fine and thin, with more hair loss after menopause. Then two surgical procedures on my scalp left bald spots where hair stopped growing over time. I wore hats, headbands and eventually discovered toppers. But now my hair is so thin that I can’t properly clip them in without wearing a headband to secure the hair. So last fall I bought my first wig online, Esprit by Ellen Wille. Thank goodness for reviews on TH-cam to get me started! But today I took a cue from you and ordered EW Sunset from your online store. It is so similar to my bio hair (back when I had a bit more of it). I love Esprit and also purchased Victoria by Jon Renau from a wig shop. I paid a lot more for it than I would have online but felt I needed the support in that first month of wearing “alternative hair.” ;-)
Thank you! I hope you love Sunset...she was my 'go to' for the longest time. I totally get needing the support...it's daunting when you first start wearing wigs.💕
Fantastic job Frannie. This is the best overview for alternative hair that I’ve seen. My first wig (7 years ago!) was Delaney in Toasted Sesame by Envy. I remember I wrote to the company because I didn’t understand weft construction (I thought it was damaged). The owner, Robin?? Wrote back to explain it to me 😂 I’m loving your website as well. Kudos to you and your family!
Great info! I happened on one of your videos one day and have been watching more of them. I've had inexpensive wigs and tried a few brand names. Sent back because I felt they were too much hair. The more I watch your videos, the more I want to try a low density. I've learned more from you than I did elsewhere. Thank you! 😊
I'm so glad you're finding the videos helpful. I have a stylist that does free one-on-one video consultations. She can help you choose a wig with lower density. If you'd like to schedule a session with her, you can email her at v@frannieshair.com.💕
I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos! You sound experienced with wigs; I'd love it if you'd join my private Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/frannieshair We have a lot of fun there.😊
Ahhh, Frannie, I feel like I have met a new friend! Thank you for being you. You do seem so sincere and genuine and I appreciate that. I am new to the wig journey, I have about 8 in my shopping cart on your site right now (EEEKKK!!!) and am doing a consultation with V later in January to help me decide what is right for me. I am so excited! I hope to slowly transition to wigs because of convenience and hair loss due to meds. You make this so much more fun and not so scary. Love the videos with your mom and sisters- and your Aussie friend too, informative AND entertaining! THANK YOU FRANNIE!! You ROCK!!
Thank you so much, Deb! I can't wait to hear how your session with V goes! Thank you so much for watching my videos, and please let me know if I can be of further help to you!💕
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I am just beginning with wig wearing and it is very confusing. Colors are different than presenters and a lot of trial and error. This video has answered many concerns in an understandable way.

Thank you, Jo! I always look forward to your comments. You may already know all of this information. Let me know if I missed anything that you'd like me to cover.😘💕
Excellent video with lots of info. I am so happy to have found you. I am thinking seriously about getting my first wig. Winter is a great time to have a wig I think. I will want bangs and will probably like permatease. My biggest concern is getting a good color. So hard to tell from tiny samples on the internet. I wish they showed the wig in each color. I am off to go look at your website and facebook page. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Make sure you check out our color charts by brand and hue. There we have large swatches, and when you click on one, you will be shown every wig that comes in that color. If I can be of help to you, please don't hesitate to reach out!💕
Gosh Frannie, I watched this video from beginning to end at least 3 times over and learned so much. Apparently, I should have watched it before I ordered the 3 wigs that I now have and really hate them all. I am now left still trying to find the perfect wig for me and am still shopping. I did send an email to your address about some of the wigs that had been shown on that Mystery Box show, but I still have yet to receive an answer. I am going to try returning to your shop to see what I can find, now that I have a much better idea of exactly what I am looking for and I feel as though I will have much better luck. Thanks for making this video and all of the work that you are doing, I really appreciate it!!
Hi Deborah, I responded to that email a while back with info. and pictures. Did you check your spam? I will look for it to resend it. I'm so glad you found this video helpful!❤️
❤ 🎉 HI Frannie, I'm a new subscriber and I need your help. I know how pick out a synthetic wig, but.....and here it comes. I literally don't know how to put on whether it's a lace front, non lace front, with or without clips, or has the adjustable elastic cords in the back. And how to do this with both the velvet nonslip band or the silicone nonslip band and which wig cap is best , which dry shampoo is best, and how wash the wig and how often - and can you please recommend websites where I purchase reasonably priced good wigs that nice and are only synthetic wigs please, and please help 🎉 and please make tutorials on these issues please 🙏🏽.
Hi, welcome to the channel. First you can shop at my website: frannieshair.com Next, I have a video on how to put on your wig here: th-cam.com/video/2eaHCx-ebSE/w-d-xo.html Finally, if you email me at frannie@frannieshair.com, I will help you with your questions. Thanks so much for watching!💕
In my particular case even I cut or buy a wig with bangs I rather with front lace because always there is wind, or we move the hair from the forehead sometimes or when I wear my bang with a pin to back . I don't like basic lace even is more affordable.
No worries. I'll help you. Did you answer the membership questions and agree to the group rules? Sometimes you have to scroll down to see the check box.
Yes, that is Ellen by Estetica (they're all time most popular wig): frannieshair.com/products/ellen-estetica?_pos=1&_psq=Ellen&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Thanks so much for watching!❤️
Thank you so much, Frannie, for sending me the link to this extremely helpful video. I feel very confident that when I do buy my first wig, I will have your videos, your Facebook page with V’s help, and your personal attention and excellent response time to my questions. I have a friend coming over tomorrow to help me measure my head, and then I think I’m going to take the dive into Wigdomville! I hope the Jazz wig I saw on Melissa will be right for me! 👋🏼💞
I can't say I've seen any, but I imagine there must be...maybe a curly wig that doesn't have a part? If that were the case, I'd want a lace front, but not any monofilament, as it would not be of benefit. Thank you so much for watching, Ann!❤️
My first lace front wig that was curly/wavy (and with heat friendly fibers, btw) just had the “suggestion” of a part. It was a Tressalure, back when they didn’t cost the moon. I have always enjoyed having a lot of hair because that’s what I loved about my childhood bio hair. I’ve returned many wigs that were too low density. If I can’t find a way to make the fibers look thicker on top, then I simply won’t wear it. One thing that I learned is a must is where a wig is on the “face flop” scale. I have to have some “contour” at the hairline to keep the hair from constantly falling into my face. Some wigs come out of the box ready to go, but you can’t count on that always happening. The wigs with heat friendly fibers are more likely to be prone to holding the contour, but if there is a lot of fiber near the hairline, it could be a problem. That’s where watching a variety of reviews and reviewers will really help. Good luck with your journey. Remember that it is a journey, not a destination. I found a wig that I loved after much trial and error. My SIL commented on how great it was and suggested that I was now “done” and would have no need to purchase another wig. Well, let’s compare wigs to shoes. If you wear a pair of shoes every day, and those are the only shoes you ever wear, then those shoes won’t last very long and you’ll be wanting a change anyway before they are completely worn out. No one wears the same shoes year after year after year. Styles change. No one with bio hair keeps their same style year after year either. We all want to look “current” and “stylish” and wigs are the no commitment (other than the cost of the wig) way to get there.
Every single new wig wearer should watch this video. It is the best one I’ve ever watched and I believe I’ve watched them all.
Thank you so much!😘

The clearest review i ever saw. You're great! Can i ssk uou, is there a good reason not to cut the labels inside the wig cap ?

Absolutely! I've already asked my mom to do more with me.😊💕

I fell into most of these pitfalls. I think my skin tone goes towards warm . I can wear cool but have to switch up my makeup.
Yes, me too. I always go toward the pinks when I'm wearing a cooler tone.😁
Great lesson
Hi all . Do you have any advice on how to choose a wig suitable for someone that has a small head.
Yes, do you have your measurements?
Is there a good reason for not cutting the labels inside the wigcap?
I can't think of one, except that it lets me know which wig it is. I have so many, and sometimes I don't put them right back in the box.😁
Are human hair wigs a lot more expensive that other wigs and are they usually heavier?
Great question! Yes, more expensive. I haven't found them to be heavier...usually lighter.
You are phenomenal
Can we have the measures in cm's please?
Sure...I'll try to remember that next time.💕
Can you tell me what that wig (short with bangs) is under the letter B? Thank you
Yes, that is Ellen by Estetica (they're all time most popular wig): frannieshair.com/products/ellen-estetica?_pos=1&_psq=Ellen&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Thanks so much for watching!❤️
Oh, I was looking also on that under B, have to go back to see the wigs
Thank you so much, Frannie, for sending me the link to this extremely helpful video. I feel very confident that when I do buy my first wig, I will have your videos, your Facebook page with V’s help, and your personal attention and excellent response time to my questions. I have a friend coming over tomorrow to help me measure my head, and then I think I’m going to take the dive into Wigdomville! I hope the Jazz wig I saw on Melissa will be right for me! 👋🏼💞
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Let me know if you have any more questions.💕
What brand colour and name is yours ?

What if you dont have bangs or a part! Do any wigs have that?
What wig/color is on head F?
That is Estetica Hunter: frannieshair.com/products/hunter-estetica?_pos=1&_psq=hunter&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Thank you so much for watching!💕
It stays works well. It has but but though. If you sweat it does not work.
Good point, April! Thank you for watching!❤️
Yeah, I know about the return policy. Paula Young will never shop there again.
Hi. Patricia from Rhode Island again
Hi!😁💕
That’s why I’ll never buy EW.
