These did not. The Grumman S2 Turbo Trackers as well as the MD87, 737, DC10, and 747 super tanker replaced them. In addition to the P2 Orion and C130s.
@@FLHDplanespotting I meant with radial engines. My original question was "are Air Tractor planes that are used outside of agriculture EXCLUSIVELY the Turboprop variants, or are the ones with radial engines also used OUTSIDE of agricultural application?"
I am assuming your "jet blast" reference was "prop blast" even though the engines are turbine powered and have "jet exhaust" the exhaust blast is insignificant to forward thrust...
They have a ferry kit that allows you to fill the hopper with fuel for long distance flights. An electric pump pumps the fuel from the hopper into the main tanks on the wings. FYI.
It’s an airplane build BY farmers FOR farmers.

You must shutoff the source of water first and than shutoff the hopper after
It looks like front the end of a Pilatus and a somewhat crude, mad max looking cockpit. Very stable awesome plane.
1600hp if it has the -67F engine, instead of the -67AG.
So, these smaller planes have replaced WWII tankers that I've seen in the past firefighting ? Must be difficult keeping WWII planes airworthy.

Is it only the turboprop variants of the Air Tractor craft that get to be Single Engine Air Tankers?
Yes, other Air Tractor variants are used for cultivation or for a military use.

I meant like are the radials used outside of agriculture?
What do you mean with "radials" ?

Oh I see ! No, radial engines aren't use outside of agriculture. Military users and firefighting departments only use turboprop variants.
I am assuming your "jet blast" reference was "prop blast" even though the engines are turbine powered and have "jet exhaust" the exhaust blast is insignificant to forward thrust...
I you want real jargon since we're already getting a little pedantic It's called prop wash.
Combien de litres d'eau peuvent-ils emporter?
Leurs réservoirs font 3100 L.
@@FLHDplanespotting 3100l = 3100kg. Impressionnant!

If they convert the water tank into a gas tank they can go around the world non stop !
