What a turbine ! Firefighter Air Tractor AT802F at Millau-Larzac [LFCM]

These two AT802F (EC-LNT & EC-LNG ) came to Millau for some firefighting exercises.
Their 1600 hp Pratt&Whitney turbine are very impressive, and the jet blast as well !!
Enjoy the amazing sound :)
They came from Béziers [BZR/LFMU] ( South France).
Ces deux AT802F (EC-LNT & EC-LNG ) sont venus à Millau effectuer quelques exercices de lutte anti-incendie.
Ce sont de beaux appareils, leur turbine Pratt&Whitney de 1600ch sont vraiment impressionnantes, ainsi que le jet blast !!

I am assuming your "jet blast" reference was "prop blast" even though the engines are turbine powered and have "jet exhaust" the exhaust blast is insignificant to forward thrust...

These did not. The Grumman S2 Turbo Trackers as well as the MD87, 737, DC10, and 747 super tanker replaced them. In addition to the P2 Orion and C130s.

Yes, other Air Tractor variants are used for cultivation or for a military use.

Oh I see ! No, radial engines aren't use outside of agriculture. Military users and firefighting departments only use turboprop variants.

They have a ferry kit that allows you to fill the hopper with fuel for long distance flights. An electric pump pumps the fuel from the hopper into the main tanks on the wings. FYI.
