@@Aerin-Lena1 & @1 yacht carpent - I agree. I don't do this stuff myself, but in this case I like to see how THEY solve their problems. As someone said, close-ups are nice, too.
I won't get tired. For me it is most interesting to see if they meet their goal and set sail some day and start the second phase in their life adventure.
I just started binge watching your boat videos from the beginning. It is now a year later and I am sure you have found the sailing community will show up to help each other because one day they might need help. I look forward to seeing her in the water sailing around Brasil and other ventures. I cannot believe how nice the interior was and that creatures were not living inside of her.
When I saw the rust I'm thinking that's a lot ! It was awesome watching you and your friends work on the repairs, i like the way you always explain to us the reason why you do the work and how you are doing it, I'm so looking forward to your next video!
I so respect how careful and thorough you are. So many people would slap the repairs together and call them "good enough," but you two are determined to do it right. Your boat is going to be so sturdy when you're all done.
I enjoyed the home build but I love what you are doing with this yacht and bringing it back to life again. Good luck with the renovation and keep these fantastic videos coming!
Duca and Roberta, you got my week off to a wonderful start, as usual. It brings me such joy to watch as an incredible couple works together as a team, along with their "supporting cast", to transform their dream into a reality. Four suggestions: 1) Zip-lock bags, a sharpie and a camera three of the best tools when disassembling something that must be reassembled. Mark a zip-lock bag with a sharpie as to the contents and location, and place every fastener, as well as odds and ends, in the bag. Then place the bag where it can easily be found when it's time to put everything back together. 2) Again with the sharpie, mark every panel, piece of trim, etc. in a way that makes sense when putting everything back together. 3) Keep damaged pieces to use as templates. It makes marking and cutting replacements so much easier, not to mention precise. 4) Add two flat pry bars (amzn.to/31y1pBX) and a "cats paw" (amzn.to/31z7kXu) to your tool set. You probably have these at the tiny house, but it looks like you really need them now! By the way, at 18:12, as you expand your nautical terminology, a wall is a bulkhead. So, in one sentence, you score bulkhead, saloon and head! :) Congratulations on the addition of so many Patreon members. My only regret is that I don't live closer. Otherwise I'd be there to help you in a heartbeat. Your subscriber count is closing in on 100K, so many another milestone within the next week. Until then, be well and do good work.
You two are doing great. I,m relieved to see that you're not a couple of "crazy kids" that got into something over your heads. I love watching your videos every week.
Just discovered your channel the other day and was excited for the next boat update. Congrats on living out your dreams! So great! Have fun! Cheers from Canada!
Love watching all of the process. After seeing you on Colins boat I wanted to see your boat refit from the very beginning. I’ve loved every video so far. We can truly appreciate the journey with you after seeing all the work you put into it.
I know this a very big project and a ton work. However, what an adventure you two are on. The reward will be well worth the effort. The memories will be priceless.
For later reference, what you needed to stop the heat when welding was a fiberglass welding blanket. They isolate heat extremely well, you can have glowing red metal on one side and hold your hand on the other. They can be a bit expensive, but they also sell it much cheaper as fire blanket (for extinguishing kettle fires etc).
Great job! Beautiful repair work!!! Excellent job! Times change, when I repaired welds long ago we used a wet rag to keep welding sparks away from a gas tank. You use Argon. It works but a wet rag is cheeper!
We actually used both. In the beginning we used just the wet rag but the fire were starting really easy. So, we decided to use argon. It was actually included in the price of the welding
I found you two last week very interested in your boat refit. I decided to go all the way back and binge watch from episode 1. I love your content, your drive to learn and enjoy life at it’s fullest. Look forward to seeing the container house and boat finished. But... what I enjoy most is your loving partnership. What you’ve faced building the house would test the most dedicated couples while you two just keep marching forward to your common goal. I’m sure there has been challenges but you both face them together. This series is much more than building a tiny house or refitting a sailboat. I look look forward every week to what happens next.
Actually, I am a year behind your current location. Episode 017 is where my viewing has taken me. But your email notification of this, episode 093, caught my curiosity and I couldn't help but watch what kind of horrors you are experiencing on the boat. "Good grief", as my Mother would say. How you maintain your joyful outlook is quite amazing as many people would walk away from such problems. You are two special people that prove that a good attitude and hard work can accomplish most anything. You are an inspiration !
I love you guys.... I keep getting YT recommendations for older videos. So, I think I've watched your whole story out of order. lol What an amazing ride, I admire your lifestyle so much.

Haha I don't think you lost the video footage of the booze tasting. You just did not want to show how you used your clever engineering skill to convert the bilge pump into a stomach pump to remove that bad booze from your stomachs.
Those last areas you are working on are bulkheads and they are important for the integrity of the boat. So. it is good that you decided to remove some and check for further damage.Brazil has a lot of Teak wood so I imagine is not that expensive to replace any wood that is damaged. Great job guys.
No. But å cold weld prosedyre can help. I see å lot of smoke so I hope they grind off about 2 cm of galva before welding. More control on tig weld on clean steel. But easy that the covergass blows away and than ruin the weld working outside.
Dear friends You are doing an excellent job, your plan to fix the bout is brilliant, the enemy of the metal is the rust, is just like a cancer, you have to remove the rust first and after that trace the leak , located it and stop it .
Odd Life Crafting Don‘t forget the four main mechanisms of metalic corrosion: the ionic current, the metallic current, the cathodic reaction and the anodic reaction. For each situation, there are different approach to deal with it! Keep up the good job! 👍⛵️

We never get tired of seeing you guys showing us how you figure things out and how you get things solved ❤
😍👫💪🏼⛵️
This is the start of a long journey, just remember the easiest way to eat an elephant is one mouthful at a time 😁😁
👍🏻💕
Don't worry, I enjoy watching the entire process. It is very informative. Keep up the good work.
☺️👍🏻👫⛵️
Worried about knowing where the screws are gonna go afterwards. Take a box or piece of cardbord and put them true. in order. Eazyest way
👍
Great vid guys! Its great to join your Patreon team and support you both! Look forward to watching your boat restoration and future success. :)
Thanks so much Rob!! And welcome on board my friend!!😊🤗
safety first *puts earprotection on for using an hammer*
👍🏻
Loved it. Can’t wait for the next episode.

Hot air gun or an electric iron will heat the glue and you can lever it off.
the glue is composed by epoxy... it's a really strong glue. I'm pretty sure the heat wouldn't work in this case
You are doing quality work and I am enjoying watching!
Thanks, Dale 🥰
Haha I don't think you lost the video footage of the booze tasting.
You just did not want to show how you used your clever engineering skill to convert the bilge pump into a
stomach pump to remove that bad booze from your stomachs.
Hehehe
Those last areas you are working on are bulkheads and they are important for the integrity of the boat. So. it is good that you decided to remove some and check for further damage.Brazil has a lot of Teak wood so I imagine is not that expensive to replace any wood that is damaged. Great job guys.
The wood in Brazil is quite expensive, wood like teak is quite expensive and the Brazilian one doesn’t have the same quality of the other ones
I see you used rod welding. Tig welding will produce less heat to the boat.
But the process of welding with tig is too slow and it would ended up heating more
No. But å cold weld prosedyre can help. I see å lot of smoke so I hope they grind off about 2 cm of galva before welding. More control on tig weld on clean steel. But easy that the covergass blows away and than ruin the weld working outside.
So outside welding in not very clean surface is better with rods i think. (Steelfitter first profession and not welder but have welder å lot)
Dear friends
You are doing an excellent job, your plan to fix the bout is brilliant, the enemy of the metal is the rust, is just like a cancer, you have to remove the rust first and after that trace the leak , located it and stop it .
👍😉
Odd Life Crafting Don‘t forget the four main mechanisms of metalic corrosion: the ionic current, the metallic current, the cathodic reaction and the anodic reaction. For each situation, there are different approach to deal with it! Keep up the good job! 👍⛵️
We need to see photo evidence that your friends are still alive after 🍾🍾🍻🍺🥃👀😂
😂😂
Another great video! Thanks very much. I smile the throughout each of these vids.
