Ditched the T5 a while ago - HATED the wires. CF Express was expensive but helped change the usability of the 6K Pro. My setup composition and filming is much faster as a resulr.

Can you use a Av Pro 1TB cfexpress type B for bmpcc 6k pro? Or should you just use a cfast
Only the cfast, but you can also use an external SSD drive, like the Samsung T5 or T7 using the usb-c port!!!
I’ve been wanting to buy the angel bird matched set for my 6K G2 for a while. Seems it’s still the logical option now during 2024 as well. Thanks for the video, as always, great content!

I tried using Samsung T5 but the only option I can Record is Q5 for the rest nothing, so today I ordered T7 to see if it can help me 🤦🏽
I use T7 with mine and it works fine. It is also faster than T5. You have to use the latest firmware 7.9 on your camera though.
Hi there, thanks for your comment! I’ve been using the T5 since day one, recording first in ProRes LT ad then BRaw in 12:1 (the one I use the most), 8:1 and 3:1. I’ve never recorded using “Constant Quality” cause the files are unpredictably big, but of course if you need that quality you should try the Angelbird SSD. I don’t know the T7

I got the Small Rig cable clamp after I accidentally yanked the cable out of the port. Works wonders on the camera side to protect the port. But the SSD I once in a while yank that cable. Rarely though.

@@topicruben For me it's not the weight, it's that it makes the already bulky set-up of a rigged up BMPCC 6K Pro feel even bulkier haha.
But that's an inconvenience I'll live with just to be safe.

I'm still using Angelbird cards. Actually this is the only brand I use, and now also the CFexpress for my blackmagic cinema camera 6K full frame. So far so good. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment
