JK Rowling hits back at 'misgendering' accusations

- The Harry Potter author did not hold back after being reported to UK police for ‘misgendering’ a news anchor.
India Willoughby alleged to Byline TV that JK Rowling had “definitely committed a crime”.
Rowling hit back, saying that free speech was protected under British law - and suggesting that Willoughby’s “obsessive targeting” of her constituted defamation and harassment.
JK Rowling and India Willoughby have been locked in a war of words on social media for more than a year.
In January last year India Willoughby posted on X, “I’m more of a woman than JK Rowling will ever be.”
JK Rowling is one of the few sane people left in an insane world
The VAST majority of countries don't even talk about trans issues.
She displayed an "insane" amount of insanity when she tried to go woke around 2007. She started making statements like Dumbledore was gay all along and Hermione was supposed to be black despite her books never saying so and instead had lines like "her face went white with fear". Now she is being bitten by the same fringe minority that she wanted to pander to.

Yes, there were intersex and transgender people and they were part of our society but at no point did they become a political identity and started to indoctrinate their idealogy to the masses by use of pop culture. If you want to be addressed in a certain way, then you have to convince any other person that your request is reasonable and that they agree to it. How a person wants to address you is entirely up to them and is their free speech. The interaction with between humans is always based on mutual consent. And that consent has to be earned and mutually agreed upon. Legislators who try to infringe upon this basic deep rooted principle of human interaction introduce a dystopian element of absolutistic terror. And that needs to be resisted and rooted out.

I used to be a soldier, a female soldier and I had a lesbian soldier in my team, and every times she went to the showers and there was another woman in there she used to ask if it was ok for her to enter or if it would make anyone uncomfortable and they rather she’d wait till they were done.
That’s an example on how not to impose on anyone and not make others feel uncomfortable to make yourself feel better.
Trans women in women lockerrooms might indeed make some women uncomfortable and that’s not ok.

Thanks for your service. As a former Soldier myself I've seen gay men in the showers before (you can always tell who's gay in the showers) but it's less of making people uncomfortable and more of a lighthearted affair.

Someone who isn't autistic doesn't have to call themselves allistic, but it's just used in conversations about autism for charity's sake. The same is true of "cis".

That interviewer just discovered an additional problem with 'them' as 3rd person singular. Add a bit of an accent, and "them" sounds like "thim". Add a bit of sloppiness, and "thim" sounds like "him". Before you know it, you're being dragged away in cuffs.

In the UK and parts of the EU it can be considered as such... and the outcome is usually awareness, sensitivity training or in some case if escalation occurs then jail time
