Important correction from the developer to address one of my cons: You can, indeed, run two instances of Rewind on Windows to record both system audio and live audio. Unfortunately, running two instances is not yet possible on Mac.
Heads up, the newest update of Rewind needs to access your entire screen and audio recording on OSX. It didnt before this last update. First thing you wonder is why an audio capture software is recording my entire screen when in use? And why does it no longer fully close when i quit the app but leaves the app running in my task bar where i can see the screen recording still going. Thank goodness for OSX not letting that stuff just unknowingly fly.

I'm a swift dev and this is just the permissions that are needed for the new ScreenCaptureKit API introduced in macos 12.4.
Great review! Instant purchase! Thanks for covering this tool.
I haven't got it but i love rewind already haha
That was a great review and I saw everything I needed to know! You've got jokes, I'll tell ya! 😄
Can you get it to capture the daw as input, so you can combine audio and midi that way?
I would use it if it were an audio unit or vst. There is a vst made by BIRDS, it’s a drag and drop buffer recorder. 19 dollars.
Check out Rolling Sampler too
