    I just cant respect samples that already exist....I really believe all samples and sounds should be created by the artist...or it becomes a colaboration.... it also takes more skill to create your own sounds. I actually can proudly say I create all my own sounds, though I'm not some famous guy....it just feels like cheating otherwise.

    • @pariah0294
      @pariah0294 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truth is mate, you need to realise the only people who can tell you're making everything yourself are other producers and musicians that specifically listen for that. You're missing your entire listening base by not finishing tracks, I learnt this the hard way.

    • @GrauFPV
      @GrauFPV 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pariah0294 I actually write psychedelic rock music, but occasionally get into some trip hop or dream wave productions, and just the fact that I can tell that all the tracks sometimes 40-50 individual tracks are all my own creation. I didnt like the rave sauce song, personally, but wanted to gain new insight from the creator...as I try not to be bias... i always appreciate advice and critics, so if you have a few mins please check out my playlist of my music, i have quite a versatile portfolio, and am working on an OP at the moment.

    • @pariah0294
      @pariah0294 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @The honest Critic although I somewhat agree I can't help but disagree as I feel like no one cares whether you make things yourself or not. I come from making drum and bass so trust me I've spent enough time learning how to manipulate and create unique sounds. I just feel like with hip hop rap. Grime and trap nowadays you're actually better off finding one or two Heat samples, flipping it, manipulating, creating a counter melody or two and smacking your own or your fav drums on rather than creating every single sound as it's a complete waste for the listener imo

    • @ReidStefanMusic
      @ReidStefanMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The “I design everything myself” mentality is only appreciated by a small % of fellow music makers. The general listening audience does not care! Do whatever keeps the listeners repeating your songs.

    • @GrauFPV
      @GrauFPV 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ReidStefanMusic that's a fair testament, but from my style, as a mostly psychedelic rock musician...its hard to just use premade samples. I never use premade drum samples, but I dont really have a problem with the texture sounds being non original. Thanks for the reply though!
