  • Ayo! Welcome back anybody (: im back and here to give a little theory i had waaay back in the day of my first watch and reading through of Made in Abyss.
I think some points are valid and patterns that appear are rather strange, its like a movie everything on the scene to set, to props, to conversations, im here to talk about some of these patterns and hopefully get some of you guys talking as well!
I have a very big project im working on and almost done with the first part. Itll be a video for both hardened and new delvers tp enjoy and dive into. Thank you all!
Will be showcasing theories and channel/Reddit names for endcards. Check out his video todays showcase is "pootispaghetti"

Want to make a point here: The natives around the Abyss in the era that the Ganja squad visits them are _not_ the original humans. At the very most they are what remains from the last 2000 year cycle. There are at least 4000 years more of culture around the abyss than that, with advanced structures and boats. Likely the natives were just the remainders after a 2000 year cycle or stumbled upon the island and never explored past the 1st layer.

Okay so what I meant by Cult, I was thinking more of how Orth controls info and the people and merchandise, especially to children. But that this kind of culture had of started from somewhere and the way I looked at the islanders that Ganja came into contact with, they had to of gotten that culture and philosophy around the Abyss by people that are native or people who just like them took up the big religious ideologies such as sacrificing those infertile and specifically using children as those sacrifices.
But do you think those islanders are a little more knowledgeable about the inner workings of The Abyss? That and they paint themselves to be like the True Residents, I mean they know about souls when Orth hides it from the public. Could the Civilization of the previous cycle before the islanders be far more advanced?

@@Rivabit Yeah that part was pretty cool actually, and you did make that connection pretty solid.Never thought about it that the whole 'balancing' may be Irumyui's memory of how her village rejected her as well as the source for what would eventually become Orth's control method. I don't think I've ever seen anyone even hint on that. Glad I subbed.

Riko's mom left like 10 years before the story starts. But yeah. Child manipulation and exploitation is a key element of the story

The ruins on the 6th level are most likely children who faced the same fate as Irumyuui. The ruins are nonsensical because they are the result of biopunk body horror plus a child's idea of society. The Abyss brings the mutations and the raw material for them, the child becomes an unwitting architect of their own flesh. It was forshadowed by the helmet bunnies.
Irumyuui is/was the current shrine and Faputa is the shrine maiden. Delivering the will of the Abyss.

Dude ! I fucking love this so much! I'm hoping the 7th Layer is like that judt one person forced into an entire ecosystem in the very bottom of the pit. Sounds dope dude. I love your take on that that's like my new headcanon

@@Rivabit hey that makes sense, bet that Riko's fate is to become the next new layer unless someone stops her mom from performing the sacrifice?

@@palapeura375 I too think Lyza is evil or willing to shed her humanity, visualized in the beggining with her introduction being a giant monster thing.
I can't wait to see what happens with everyone it makes it so much better! Thank you for the comment and watching
