Thanks for posting the video! The drops on my replacement water filter were facing a different direction, but I just made sure the other parts were lined up correctly and it went in fine.
Thank you for posting this video, I have the same Frigidaire Gallery French door refrigerator as yours. I have had mines for 3 months, I just replaced my water / ice filter for the first time today. My refrigerator did not come with a air filter either, I had to buy one. Your video was easy to follow and straight to the point, thank you.
Great video! New fridge, similar to this and that was invaluable. Interestingly enough the installer didn’t install the air filter. Wouldn’t have installed our without your video!!!
Good tutorial. You have to push a little harder than you'd think to get the water filter to pop out, but then it's a simple procedure. Don't ever try to pry it out - you'll only break it! Thank you for including the replacement part numbers. I bought replacements at the local big box hardware store and they sold me the wrong air filters!!!
I just got mine installed today, literally an hour ago. I tried to get the filter out, I pushed and pushed. someone below said "push harder than you think you need to" so I did that, it will not budge at all. I cannot get this thing out. Will it not release it if it's not time?
If yours looks the same as far as the water drop logo on the press button and the two tips, then you should be fine to buy them individually. Amazon has a great return policy if it doesn't work out. Sorry I'm not 100% sure, but if it visually matched then you can likely save $ and shipping time using the Amazon links
@@BtwilliasGarage Mystery solved. Frigidaire's email reminder to change water filter with WF3CB is outdated information relevant to our LAST refrigerator! We've moved, have a new Frigidaire (which we registered), but were still getting old news. A wonderful Frigidaire representative helped solve this with me, but wasn't so wonderful when I asked about a refund/exchange since it was their email that led me to order a new, incorrect filter through them. WF3CB and PWF 1 are NOT compatible. I do have a fresh, correct filter in place., and an extra incorrect one.
The links I posted should have the models they fit in the specs section of the listing. Look at the inside of your door sticker and make sure yours is listed. Good luck!
Yeah I knew that was going to be an issue, when I saw his fridge didn't have dual frezzer/ fridge pull out drawer. Just loosen box, push in filter & take it with you to home depo or loews. Staff there will use it to get you replacement. I'm thinking of making a video for ppl like us.
I have the Same bridge. I got it from someone moving that couldn't take it with him. But the refrigerator only gets to 54° any. Suggestions, could it be your filter?
I would start with checking the coil behind the fridge to make sure it is not clogged with dust. You are dealing with a larger issue versus the filter. You can remove the air filter if there is one to ensure it is not what is blocking the air flow. The water filter wouldn't be a part of this scenario. Also, make sure you have your fridge and freezer settings programmed low enough. Mune are set at 38* and 0* as a reference. Good luck!
It should speed up, keep in mind it's day one and the freezer takes a while to get down in temp. You have two ice makers, so once it fills up it should keep up with your needs
Most likely. It gets slower if you have a lot of water being called for (dishwasher/laundry), but even when it's the only appliance being used it's no where near fast. The gallons per minute of your water (city/well) certainly does affect it though
Well SHIT! My fridge is only 8 months old and the first time I tried to change the filter it would not come out! I pushed it in about 40 or 50 times and had to pry it out with a screw driver and it broke the prongs off the filter. ARGH!
Even though it is a push-up filter. It is not simple. Because the filter takes forever to get it to pop out. It's not as simple as the young man is saying in the video. Because that's a lie I have pushed mine several times and it will not come out. I don't know if the store is forcing the filter, in there and now it won't come out or what, but it does not come out easy.
@@spiritsbeyondthestars3493 I'm really not sure, it could be seized or frozen. Is the water coming out and ice working properly? I would seriously hit it hard with a large punch (think drumstick sized or bigger). It should release and if not file a warranty claim. These new fridges are terrible. All of them. LG, Samsung etc. Not worth the money. They are pretty but pieces of crap. Hope you get it figured out! I'm just a homeowner with a camera. Not affiliated with these companies at all nor paid by them.
Finally, similar model to mine. I wasn't pushing it to release, thought it was a door. LOL Didn't realize there was an air filter! Thank you so much!
Happy to hear my video helped!
Why couldn't these IDIOT engineers put "push" on the filter ?
Not sure, but it sure does help with video views lol. Hope you got yours swapped out easily!

I can get the old filter out but the new one won't click in. The two filters are exactly the same. I had to put the old one back in.

What about the plastic peice in the middle of the filter
For some reason my new air filter will not snap on it’s like something is stopping it even when I take out the plastic tips

Ie. Mine is slow too, but I'm used to it 😂
My air filter is in upper left side of fridge
Why are your panel lights flickering like that?
That's just the camera, not in real life. It's due to the frames per second of recording. LED headlights do the same thing 👍
the filter should be the other side if you've looked at the official frigidaire video channel
Well SHIT! My fridge is only 8 months old and the first time I tried to change the filter it would not come out! I pushed it in about 40 or 50 times and had to pry it out with a screw driver and it broke the prongs off the filter. ARGH!
