Sweet ride bro I'm building the 85 monte CL dropping a big block 396 from a 71 SS Chevelle it was 350 horse from factory but pistons have been swapped for semi dome ones and an aftermarket cam and hooker headers original intake I'm thinking it's over 400 horse can't wait to do a video as well
My cuzzo has the same car with the exact interior but he painted it a mocha brown with a nice 355 built in it. Installed the floor shifter with a 350 trans and shift kit, it also has a grand national rear end 🔥🔥
These, the Grand Nationals, Cutlasses, Celebrity Eurosport and the Ford Taurus SHO and Thunderbirds 1983-86 were all cool cars in the 80s. So were the 2dr Chrysler K Cars.
g bodies are on a full frame so you can make them handle plenty good.. I have always been a Chevy guy but after I got my first Crown Victoria.. I am now in love with the Crown Victoria's. One of my Crown Vic's is a police interceptor but I do prefer the civilian leather bench seats
Mine is column shift as well with bench seat I'm leaving it original and its unique and I'm installing a 700r4 in mine I bought an 87 monte SS for parts and scored a 3.73 gear posi for my 85 💪
I had a '85 in Dark Blue Metallic (base model not the CL). I loved the car but the handling was terrible and the braking was worse. Mine also had a clock. I miss that big clock it was quite useful. Despite its many flaws it's one of my favorite cars of all time.
I love these G-body Monte Carlo, along with the cutlass. This looks like the perfect classic cruiser for the summer especially at night. Nice indeed 👌
Your videos are great! I love 80s muscle cars… Monte Carlos, Regals (Grand National), Camaros, etc… fun cars.
The CL is actually a hard to find interior/seat option.

Why do you shift with the column shifter just want to know and did the car come like that or did you rig that up i don't know thats why im asking
There were non SS monte carlos with 305s in them. Mine was built in Arlington and came with sbc 305 v8 from the factory.
Love your car. I have a 84
I’ve also seen rarely that they come with a 4.4 v8 and a 3.8 v6 in the early 80s.
What color is the exterior?
What are some UMI stuff that makes the steering good?

I also have an 87 regal with a 400 horse 355 💪 love the gbodys

Nice Monte! Do you have to shift manually? That would get tiring to me. Love to see the regular Monte Carlos get some love, they look awesome too!
Should have added a SS sway bar and performance shocks would help your handling quite a bit!
This 4 sale?
I have one for sale. All original

I love your car classic 👍
It was not embarrassing, back in the 1980’s that was it, actually you had 3.8, 4.3 and the two 305’s.
The 4.3 is actually a 350 with out 2 cylinders. think of it as a super six 💪
a manuel column shifter yes I love em im getting a monte carlo and turn it into a luxury sport trim car yes
I'ma give a tip the carb is to big for your setup a 650 or 670 would run way better
I want one v8 original ! Thanks !
I have one
This is exactly what I was looking for but I wish it was even longer!!! Get the following you deserve = P-R-O-M-O-S-M !!!
This Monte is a 3 on the tree??
