The benefit of the navigation buttons comes into play with watersports / swimming / surfing etc. The Touchscreen doesnt work too well in those environments. All in all this is an amazing flippen watch - its fully changed my life around. Its always pushing you to get active and get those PAI scores up above 100. Highly recommend. This is 100% associated with Sports tracking and increasing your fitness.
I am new to smartwatches and can't really decide. This one brought my eye as it is only around £100 and will allow me to use it for swimming, sauna, steam room, gym and so on and not worry about it. Would you recommend or are there other alternatives now that can do same and more. I know there is GTR Pro now but it is £70 more and not sure if worth it.

I brought this watch. It's does the job for me. I needed to be notified of calls and text, big face design, always-on-display, and water proofing while I'm in the rain. My apple watch SE does the same with more accurate information. This is a cheaper smart ⌚. You get what you pay for.

This is the first of your videos I've seen. I am considering purchasing this watch and your review was in depth enough to cover the gaps in other research I've done. The only thing missing, in my opinion, is a in depth test and review of the durability claims. That aside, I must say that your presentation was well designed and enacted. I appreciate the honest pro and con style that you said you are trying in your more recent videos. Without having seen any other videos I can say this format is informative and engaging. I thank you for the time and effort you put into this and I will return to your channel again if you have reviewed a product I am considering purchasing. I hope this has helped and encouraged you.

You dropped the bomb that it's just a rugged activity tracker.
However I'll still buy it for it's looks.
I have the basic (non-pro version), and honestly I'm very happy with it. Paid 60€ for it, it's rugged, it's comfortable, I like the style, battery lasts a ridiculous amount of time and tracks all I need. I don't care about notifications at all. I moved from the Mi Band to this and I can just say: worth it.

Josh, I don't comment so much on these video reviews, but I had to tell your that I liked yours.
You spoke just a bit too fast, but I was able to understand everything. (I have taught myself over the years to speak slower, so people can follow what I'm saying, lol.)

Except... I'm still in the dark about a few things....
Love the format of what works and what doesn't! I missed in this video the outdoor functionalities like GPS, maps and training functionalities like the recovery time and oxygen consumption during you are activities. Basically, that the selling point of this smartwatch, the outdoor activities and durability. So it'd have been fantastic if you try these functions before doing the review. That would be my only constructive criticism. For the rest, congrats I loved it! Keep it up! And thanks for the review!

Amazfit wants you to use the strap screws that comes with the watch. That's why it doesn't support regular watch bands. Standard spring bars are slightly magnetic. So the built-in compass sensor will not work with aftermarket straps. I've tried watch strap adapters from ebay. The spring bars always causes issues with compass.

what im getting from your review is almost mirroring exactly what the t-rex is for. its made to be strong, bulky, and thick. if you want more gadgets, they have better ones for that but for the role it's filling i think it does it well

I realised that it is just a MI Band 6 w.r.t specs and with a strong design!
I just bought this at wal mart! For 109.99! I was shocked at the amount of features and battery life for such a price, and the only thing I researched about it was to check if it worked with IOS. It does, and well. I have Aspergers and it oddly counts my rocking motions as “steps”. But that’s fair as I am getting exercise when doing that. I was thrilled that this is a pretty highly rated product for the price, but also see that it is a 2021 year product, and I’m not too familiar with any sub model upgrades which may have been released in those two years but I feel I suppose in late 2023 it is showing some age, but still a sexy and well functioning watch for $109 for certain. I will make a video of my experience after a few weeks too.

Great review man, the idea behind the buttons is it gives the user a way to operate the watch fully while wearing gloves or if the screen is wet etc. I have both the Verge and the T-rex pro and really rate them both, the only thing I wish the T-rex pro had was the ability to do bluetooth calling. Bu then I suppose it wouldn't be nearly as waterproof.
Why exactly would Bluetooth affect its waterproofing?

I have a Galaxy watch 3. It's fully waterproof and can spend 3 hours at a depth of 5 meters
It also has an on-wrist call feature, with a couple ot speakers and mics
I'm stuck between this t-rex Pro or the new g-shock gsw-h1000 that's coming out soon, I love the look of both, but can the g-shock justify the price tag??

Nice Review. I had a disappointing experience with the Amazfit GT3 Pro about the Tides forecast. I live in a island and there was no way of having the Tides calculated at or nearby my location. Have you tested the Tides in the T-Rex Pro ? I really like it but...I need the Tides to go fishing :-)
Previous Amazfit watches I own have pretty iffy GPS. I'd really need to know if GPS is good on this considering buying one.

i was thinking about purchasing this watch, because of the looks and feels more like G SHOCK and yeahh im so into G SHOCK, but the design are uniquely proven and yes surprisingly big looks and feel comfortable.
If asking me about G SHOCK, honestly the H1k dont have what they say watch faces (only a few to chose from).
Amazfit T Rex Pro looks promising and more cheaper.

What make me like this T-Rex Pro is that it rated to go 100 meters under water which will be more enough for me to use it while surfing. I look for many Smart Watches, but most are just water resistant's and says not met for swimming some say they are waterproof, but they are not and never giving you how deep you can go in meters.
I know it’s silly, but does all of the activity sync with the Apple health stuff? I have to use that for an insurance premium incentive
I would buy this watch if the screen would instantly be activated when turning wrists. I would be annoyed by the second or two that it needs to activate the watch face. Is it better now with updates?

I have been trying to find a good smartwatch with my pixel 6 pro and I bought the trex pro and I like it its def more accurate then the galaxy watch 4 I have and the battery is so much better it's not perfect but it does the job
Just get the GTR2. Same interface and functions in a metal case that looks great with anything.
1:45 the premise behind the "get up" is to move. Your body being in one position for too long is not good, even if it is a standing desk.

Please note that “Stand Up” doesn’t actually imply that you should move from a lying down or sitting position to a fully upright standing position; it simply mean you should move about from an inactive or sedentary state to increase your cardiovascular system. The watch may have been more expensive when you posted this video as the current price is actually ideal considering the amoled screen and cost of similar devices. Perhaps an update on the device could be done. Thank you...
I'm looking for a Smart watch that will be good for me because i rides a lot of Monti bikes I just crashed my Apple watch 4 and I think this one will now meet all my needs even if I fall off the bike🤷

The cardiac sensors of AmazeFit watches have a bad reputation for being inaccurate. For the first 5 minutes, it does its purpose well. Finally, it seems that even when at rest, hand motion may improve production.
What about VO2 max on T-Rex Pro?
Whilst I don't expect to be to answer calls, being able to respond to text messages with preset messages would be great
The notification with this smart watch is a hit and miss with my Samsung galaxy phone.. ive missed a lot of notifications because sometimes it really doesn't work. Ive done everything but still same.😢

I purchased this watch, and one of the reasons was GPS position. On the official website it claims you will always know where you are, but I cannot find how to access this info. Anyone know where your position can be accessed? I am on the border of returning it, but I really love it otherwise. I can finally ocean surf and not have to worry about my smart watch.
Happy to hear that the vibration wakes you up in the morning! How does the vibration work? Does it vibrate until you stop it yourself?
I just got a g shock Gbd-100 and it doesn't wake me up in the morning. I got it for the vibration alarm feature, it feels strong enough but the duration of the vibration is so little and only lasts 10 seconds.

I haven't let it vibrate long enough, but in my case, yes, it does vibrate until I'm awake. I much prefer this to the sound alarm on my phone as I don't annoy my wife with this alarm, and I'd even say it's smoother to wake up this way.
