I will be back to watch, but before I do, I am mainly here to see where you put the latest Bodyjar album. I really rate it and it is amoung theire best for me.
Surprised that you guys didn't like that GC record. I've loved it since day of release. It's not my go to album from them, but I always have a good time whenever I put it on. But I'm also in the minority where I personally don't dislike any album from them.
Zebrahead MFZB is in my list of top 10 "favorite" albums of all time I submitted on the discord. They were consistently my second favorite band for a long time behind Green Day and before Pennywise at 3 and then I got heavily into skate punk, ska punk and hardcore after Justin left the band. I'm with John on the Justin albums, just a unique and fun vocalist and for the most part, hasn't been nearly same without him. Though, I would probably put Broadcast to the World in my S or A. Glad to see you guys digging the newish album. I liked this probably the most since Broadcast. Looking forward to the potential tier list.
Justin’s stuff also has easily the most heart of their stuff. Some of Matty’s songs come close but Justin has like Feel This Way, Move On, Blur, Let It Ride so many really heartfelt songs that’s an aspect of them that’s overlooked people mostly focus on the corniness (Which isn’t bad)
You couldn't pay me to listen to some of these records as a 38 year old. That Saves The Day record truly honks. Most of these bands need to play off nostalgia and do album tours that came out 20 years ago. Do yourself a service gentlemen and find new and exciting bands. Merry Christmas!
A Zebrahead tier list would be interesting. They have so many records and each one has strong tracks but a lot of it is very samey. MFZB takes S no doubt
'Surrender', 'Get Outta My Head' and 'Big Shot' on the Bodyjar album are awesome! The Dragon cover, 'Rain' did not really do it for me. Not as good as their other covers.
Why is there a rule that you can only have 2 per tier? What if you love loads of them? You're gonna have to put an album you love in B or C tier? Or the other way around where you have to put an album you hate in B or A tier?
Saves The Day has always been a band that changes their sound with every release. No 2 records sound the same. When they dropped Through Being Cool, Stay What You Are, and In Reverie nobody expected those directions. They're never going to revisit Can't Slow Down. It always bums me out that they get ripped on for consistently trying new things opposed to bands that don't evolve at all over 30+ years. Also completely disagree with you guys regarding the mix of Rotation and Frequency. That bass tone is what a MusicMan Stringray sounds like when it's not buried by guitars and drums. The vocals sound doubled up, not like they have a crazy effect on them. Seems like you guys are suggesting this record is mixed like Leatherface's MINX album or something, when in truth it's not bad and the boys absolutely rip on this album.
How would you rank these records?

Right there with you Connor

I think I'm only a fan of half their records, but I'll defend GC anytime, despite not loving this newest records 😅

You talked about Zebrahead after I brought them up in a different chat lol!

It forces you to listen more, if there was no limits it makes each pick have no consequence. This is a dangerous channel
@PunkRockRadar Fair enough. 🙂
Interesting reason.
