This was awesome. I was going to message John on instagram and ask him if I could do a Copyrights tier list with him. I’ve been listening to them forever. Glad he did and showed love to Alone In A Dome. The new EP is really good too. I wonder how he feels about that one?
Mutiny Pop was my first Copyrights album around 2006. I think I'd have to say "Learn the Hard Way" is probably their most consistent and best, but Mutiny Pop will forever be my personal favourite. Surprised it's rated so low; at the time in the pop-punk world, that was considered by many to one day be a classic alongside the Ergs DorkRockCorkRod. "Weapons of Math Destruction", "Stuck In Springtime", Cashiers", "Help Me Stay Awake" and their best song imo is "Button Smasher". First album has some great ones too, and the opening track on Make Sound (along with 1994) are among their best. Still have their first two 7's and the rare "Chicago Smasher" EP too (which combines the Side As of the first two 7's. Can't make a proper tier list though, cause I never heard another album after Learn the Hard Way. Saw them a few times between 2008 and 2012 though and they were always a blast.
For anyone interested, my Top70 The Copyright tracks. (I need to move in some from the new EP though). music.th-cam.com/play/PLA-IizFuPTB8-KC7JSDDE80LHB02eHDeJ.html&si=xbTPdyowSR33SZOt

That was fun! Thanks guys. (I reckon my list is closest to Scott's).
Ive been looking forward to this. Good job guys 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Haven't had a chance to watch this yet but I hope Elliot didn't listen to the entire Dopamines discography in preparation for this by accident
I listened to the entire Methadones discography as well lol
@@ergoth154 Okay I agree the Methadone's are similar but the Dopamines, get outta heeeee!
'Dead Flowers' is one of my favourite cover songs of all time ;)
Kids of the Black Hole. cool song and Adolescents reference
Instantly John's least favorite song
'Self-depreciating' 😆I think you meant 'self-deprecating'. I love those sort of lyrics too Elliot 😃
Hell yeah for Scott. #NorthSentinelIsland is the best. No mention of my favourite The Copyrights track though: '20 Feet Tall'.
