  • What you are hearing is the transmitted audio of my Apache Labs ANAN 7000DLE mkii SDR transceiver at 15kHz wide. A dummy load was used so therefore, no Who's were harmed in the making of this video. Merry Christmas!

Hello KP68videogates, what speaker system do you use, the reson I want to know is that you get nothing coming out of your speakers when you transmit, I have to use small usb speakers connected to the computer or I will hear myself through another the plug into house main thanks for your help keep up the good work I have learned a lot from you.

Hello! I use my JBL soundbar which connects to my computer with an HDMI cable, then in my computer settings I have the audio (Thetis receive audio) routed to HDMI out. I have Cakewalk permanently set to speakers OUT which loops back into line IN with a small patch cable. If you haven't seen it, here is the video where I try to explain how I do it. th-cam.com/video/YiSv3-7XQ9M/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching my videos. I'll try to keep the madness going lol.

What mic do you recommend for the Hermes? Just ordered mine.

Hello sir. Because there are so many variables, it's a tough question to answer. If you are just getting into this I would recommend a dynamic mic at a price point of a $100 or less. I still have my Shure SM58 and it's a great mic at about $100. I've heard some $50 mics that sound very nice but in general you get what you pay for so don't go too cheap. In the end, whether it be a $50 mic or a $500 mic, most of it depends audio processing. I've heard very expensive mics sound horrible because of improperly set audio processing (like me🤪 lol) and a $50 mic sound great with proper audio processing. Whichever mic you decide on, get settled in with it and over time you'll be able to get a feel what you like or dislike about it and then you'll know what to look for in a mic if you decide to upgrade.

@@tyjohnson6553 That was my Electrovoice RE320 and still is. Before that was my RE20 and before that was my SM58 and before that was my Shure SM57. The only mic that I didn't care for was the Shure SM57. As you can see, I went through a few before settling into my RE320.
