I came here looking for some genius method for making a beautiful paracord book mark, and it turns out all I need to do is lay a scrap pice of cord in my book without any extra work.

This is absolutely an incredible design. The simplicity yet brilliance is almost overwhelming. The only problem is, you don't show how to make the bookmark using a paracord.

+Douglas Mckinney Glad you like it! I was using neon yellow 550 Paracord to make the video!

As a deviation from your design, I have gutted my paracord for a slimmer design. It also helps protect the binding of some of the more 'economical' books. Just a thought.

+Pastor Lafferty I did the same and tied an overhand knot on the end so it wouldn't get lost in the book

if you gut the cord the book would be flatter

+Raquel Perez Zbornik Thanks I noticed that nobody had ever done a video about bookmarks and thought I'd have a go!

I have managed to make lots of key fobs and lanyards but am having a problem following this one. Could you make the video again showing more detail please. He He

Try play, pause, rewind till you get it right. It took me hours to master the technique. Don’t give up!😂😂

Cut 8 inches then burn one end or both ends with a lighter to "seal" it shut.

    Hilarious brother...
I suggest removing the inner strands and pushing an end into the spine of the book (especially the Bible) for a more permanent placemark.
Do you think its possible to make a Solomon weaved book mark with the inner strands removed?
I would like to make some Solomon (cobra) weave crosses that you demonstrated in another video, but without the inner strands to be used as bookmarks.
    Have you tried that?
    Guess I'll find out eventually....
    I enjoy your video's. Thanks!
