- Bill Cipher, the ultimate Gravity Falls villain, is finally coming back. In an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, Alex Hirsch is listed as a special guest voicing lines for everyone's favorite dream demon. Why are Gravity Falls and The Simpsons having a crossover, though?
We haven't heard anything from Bill Cipher in years, and that's because Gravity Falls ended in 2016. However, The Simpsons is owned by Disney. They also own Gravity Falls. That's why this crossover cameo is possible, and it'll be going down in an October episode of The Simpsons. It may not be a Gravity Falls Season 3, but it's still a great way to be re-introduced to this incredible villain!

One of the perks of Disney owning basically everything is weird crossovers like this.
Kinda the reason Disney is in it's current place is because the stories it turned into movies weren't patented.

This actually makes a lot of sense. Stan was known to have canonically Teamed up with Rick Sanchez, and Bill Cipher was shown on one of the monitors in the show. Also, The Pen, the Notepad, and the Mug that fell in the portal when gravity falls was experimenting with portal travel fell into the Rick and Morty Multiverse. Considering Rick and Morty also canonically appeared in The Simpsons, this is a GREAT way to indirectly connect the 2 universes without ruining the shows
I forgot Rick and Morty crossed with The Simpsons guess it means they are all in this big multiverse the one thing that will bring this up a notch is if they got Bill in Family Guy since I could imagine more chaos being done that way

@@colin3ds1 Maybe Ford is the Rick of his universe but since he lives in a different dimension from the Rick and Morty multiverse they couldn't do anything since the Gravity Falls multiverse has its own different laws of physics and what not to the Rick and Morty multiverse

Rick must have been in his 30s when his family was killed, went on a Rick killing spree in his 40s and made the citadel of ricks in his 50s. And Rick might have left a backdoor open to the (Gravity Falls) Universe, allowing Evil Rick to escape. Maybe Evil Rick was never a Rick at all, and was Bill Ciper all along?
Maybe bill will Shuffle the functions of every hole in Homer's face for the couch gag.

I mean The SImpsons has had a crossover with both Family Guy and Futurama. And in both episodes the crossover characters didn't just have small cameos. Their appearances had whole episode length plots involving their appearances. I'm definitely hoping that's going to be the case with Bill showing up. That his appearance will be very plot heavy.

Alex Hirsch really likes the Simpsons and cited them a lot when talking about creating his show, so this is pretty cool!

Realistically, there's probably not going to be any major plot connections between The Owl House and Gravity Falls. Little things, sure, but this isn't Alex Hirsch's show continued, this is Dana Terrace's show.

1:07, Okay, I never really thought I see the day when Grey Delisle Griffin (the voice of Daphne from Scooby-Doo) will be doing voice over work on The Simpsons.
But I won't make a big deal over it because she is a great voice actress and a real sweetheart, too.
She's also the voice of Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender and Wubbzy in Wow Wow Wubbzy!
She has been part of the series' recurring cast since season 31. She replaces Russi Taylor after she died in 2019 and now Gray is Martin Prince, the twins etc.

This is probably the most Interesting crossover I seen in a long while, My curiosity meter is high and my mind wants to see how this'll turn out.
It just happened, and it did not disappoint, even if it only lasted a few seconds! It was a VERY “Bill Cipher” line to say!

This actually makes sense from a certain perspective.
They have foreshadowed Bill Cypher a lot in Rick and Morty. There was plenty of Gravity Falls Easter Eggs in the show, but there are ones with him specifically depicted too. Rick and Morty have crossed over into the Simpsons, showing that they are connected. As such, Bill Cypher can be in the Simpsons series by extent.
Regardless, I am excited to see what comes up.

Bill Cipher has literally appeared in countless cartoons and even media since Gravity Falls' end.
I'm still wanting him to appear in Amphiba lol. They had the rug, so that can only mean Bill has been there before, right?

I can't believe it ended five years ago, I can still remember when new episodes where being released as if it were only a few months ago.
This means that:
1. They're in the same universe
2. There's a Simpsons version of the Gravity Falls cast, and vise versa in deferent dimensions.
I know the Simpson’s never say this directly, but isn’t their Springfield based on Springfield Oregon? If so, that’s another fun nod towards Gravity Falls in general with the Oregon theme and Bill being stuck. Springfield Oregon is a nice place, living here and all.

@vince mcmahon The creator has confirmed it's based in Oregon. He grew up here, and there's an article about it from NPR. If you want the title, it's called "D'Oh! Springfield In 'Simpsons' Was Based On Town In Oregon All Along".

And this, btw, further connects Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty, through the Simpsons Rick and Morty Couch Gag. I feel like we'll almost definitely see Bill in Rick and Morty at some point, especially considering the Simpsons isn't a "kids" show. I see this as a step towards a Rick vs Bill, and that's likely why Rick made the CFC, to protect himself from beings like Bill.
