In crash, half of the polygons on the screen are on Crash's model and the creator of vegigietales wanted to make sure most of the character detail went into the eyes. This is good character design practice.
I can totally see that. As an adult, the adult characters are far more relatable. I mean Stu is basically me now. The babies gradually got worse with their intelligence and perception of the world as the series went on.
There's a VR chat world that emulates playing this entire game from start to finish, including cut scenes and for some reason every time Stu is on screen he's busting a fucking groove.
Tommy's dad warning him about the shadow monsters reminds me of the time my dad told me, "There could be a demon watching you right now, and I couldn't protect you." To this day I have no clue as to why the fuck he told me that.....

There was an episode that scared the crap out of me as a little kid where Angelica made Tommy believe that he was full of stuffing and I had a nightmare that that was happening to me so I never watched Rugratz again.
That episode fucked me up somewhere in there, I barely remember it I just remember feeling really mortal after that. I think that's honestly probably why I'm so damn cautious, I've cut myself (aside from papercuts) like twice since I saw that as a little kid.

The one thing I learned from this is that if Ding Dong laughs at something it's always one of the funniest things you will ever hear, and that's an admirable quality shared by not many on this platform

Like night and day compared to the old playthrough. That one had its funny moments, but this one was hilarious from beginning to end. The Chris-Julian-DingDong dynamic truly was peak Oneyplays.
