@@D.34.N OK let me try and explain this for you. Currently, the mortality rate for Covid is about 1.8% so your number is way off. It was the third leading cause of death in the USA for 2020. That alone is staggering. Both of these numbers are easily found via a google search. Now another problem with this virus is a combination of how easily this virus spreads and how many people end up in the hospital. Most of the people who end up in the hospital will survive but they will use up a great amount of limited resources. Throughout this pandemic many hospitals have been pushed to their breaking point just trying to keep everyone alive. There have been equipment shortages, PPE shortages, limitation of bed space and medical personal pushed to exhaustion. That 1.8% mortality rate will go way up if our hospitals can't keep up with patient demand. This is what they mean when they talk about flattening the curve.

Watching this I am stuck wondering if anyone told Hunter that he got the origin of his name Vulcan wrong, since Vulcan was in Roman mythology not Greek mythology, the greek counterpart being hephestus.
Woah woah woah there judges. I've gotta call attention to 8:25 when Hunter's sword broke. When J goes to slice into the ladder he hits the sword against the reinforced part where the step and steel casing is, aka where its harder. When he goes to test his competitor's sword he hits a different part where it's softer. It occurs to me that this competition could have ended in a tie due to this small detail. Now there's no going back in time, but I hope in the future the judges will apply surgical fairness to their strikes when testing blades.
I have to say, I didn’t love the angle he hit the ladder at, but the guys in charge of the show were extremely fair and took the legitimacy of the contest very seriously. Oh well. Should have made a better sword.
I cant be the only one who got a teiny toiny bit satisfacted by the fact that the kill test was made by someone who can control a weapon heavier than a butter knife. Still miss the IT WILL KEEEEEL tho :\
@@zsDUGGZ I 100% agree. Not saying that Dough isnt suited for it, but he is much more in tune with "slashing", and only that, like how he likes to DRAG the weapons across the dummy someitmes. But DAVE, oh boy you can see him putting both power AND finesse in his attacks.
I don't think it's the weight, Doug just likes to make the kill tests interesting, It's usually a foregone conclusion anyways. This kill test was very simple, almost boring, no twirl, no backwards grip, no stab then cutting out. This is good for testing the cutting power of a sword, but not so much for testing its maneuverability. Doug, being a trained martial artist, should have no problem wielding the weapons featured in this show, unless the weapons were badly made, and nothing about the way he moves them indicates that they would be too heavy for him.
