John Elway had a rookie season of 4−6. Peyton Manning had a rookie season of 3-13. I believe in Bo, but we have to be patient as a fanbase (yeah right! 😅)
We dont need a killer rookie Season we just need to see consistency and growth from week 1 to the end of the season. And maybe some flashes of greatness in there.

I tell everyone! I've BEEN telling everyone... In ALL (I fact checked) of NFL HISTORY...there are only 2 QBs who have both retired the Champion!
And after some debate, they try to convince me others including Brady, and every example, I explained they returned to NFL, so they're retirement was just a break, not retiring! Tom Brady may have temporarily been a retired Champ, but he came back! He is not a retired Champion because he played for two more years as a Buc and did not make it to the Superbowl his last year. Nope! He's not one!
The only two Quarterback to ever retire as the Champion, John Elway, as a two time champion, and Peyton Manning!
And both retired as a Bronco!!

Glad to see a couch setup of a podcast for Bronco Country..... best setup to have but ya'll really young. Check out the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show podcast.... how they vibe and let each other talk and do breakdowns. Ya'll took way too long with the Goals for Bo portion, and the guy with the cards leading the mic actually needs to sit in Todd's seat so he can talk facing everyone but anyway....I wanted us to get JJ McCarthy but not mad at the Bo Nix pick. The question will be can Bo read and adjust to complexities of coverage schemes because most of his throws in college were quick, timing throws. Defenses pick up on that quick...2, are we actually expect Bo to CARRY this roster??? Our offensive personnel is bottom 10, our defense does have SOME continuity but that's asking alot. I think it's best to temper our expectations and let Bo go through his rookie struggles. Like ya'll said on the podcast comparing Bo Nix to other rookies, we want him to be closer to Trevor Lawrence realistically. He's not Lamar or Joe Burrow but Lawrence is a fair comp......

Expectations from who? The media? Fans? Or people who know the game? Media types who want to generate clicks, likes, follows & mentions on their social media sites to drive subscriptions & ad revenue will produce clickbait headlines to stir up the fan base by planting unreasonable expectations. Fans who didn't learn the game by playing Madden or watching fantasy football geeks on cable will understand that learning to be an NFL quarterback is generally something that a college kid doesn't just pick up over a few months in the course of a summer. Paxton Lynch's career was destroyed before it ever got off the ground because 3 days after he was drafted Elway planted the idea that he would be ready to start as a rookie. The pressure crushed him before he had any chance. This is the least tolerant fan base in the NFL with respect to new quarterbacks. If they react the way they did to Lynch's struggles with the aid of the media, Nix will be Drew Lock. If somehow Payton can keep him on the bench to learn for a while, he's got a decent shot to be pretty good.
lol paxton lynch just sucked ass. some players just arent cut out for the nfl and that is all there is to it
@@howdareyouexist We don't really know what he would have been had Elway not ratcheted up the pressure on this guy for absolutely no reason. Lynch started a grand total of 4 games before we junked him. No good NFL scout would base a decision on 4 games...4 games started after coming from a college offense that left him entirely unprepared for the NFL.
Have you taken a good look at how long it took Drew Brees to get past the learning curve? It was THIRTY STARTS. That's right, Brees stunk it up for a good while. Going into the 2004 season Brees had 27 starts, had thrown 29 TDs & 31 INTs, he had an unimpressive 59.4% comp rate, a mediocre QB record of 10-17 & his QB rating for the prior two seasons he started were 76.9 & 67.5. He was a significant factor in the 2003 Chargers opening 0-5, then 2-9 with six games in which the offense failed to score more than 14 points despite the presence of LaDainian Tomlinson putting up ridiculous video game numbers on the ground & in the air. He was benched for 41 year old midget Doug Flutie & the Chargers moved on from him in their plans, orchestrating the draft swap for Philip Rivers in the 2004 draft. Had he been playing in Denver he would have never lasted half that long. He'd have been gone by the end of 2002, if not sooner.
The moral of the story is, don't put rookie QBs under needles pressure to start. It's stupid to put that on them. For every CJ Stoud who steps right into the NFL & shines, you'll find a couple dozen or more Paxton Lynch types who fail. Go down the list & notice how many high first round picks were asked to start and they wound up as busts.
@@user-zr4km5ns8tPaxton lynch just wasn’t good. He was overhyped because he threw an 80 yard pass on his pro day. His college tape was not that impressive and there wasn’t a lot of it. Elway took a shot and missed.
If it was really John Elway’s fault, why didn’t he take off with the Seahawks? It’s because he just not good.
CJ Stroud was fantastic in college and has everything you are looking for in an nfl qb. It worked out for him because he’s good, and the Texans did their homework.

TOM BRADY Rookie year isn't counted, cause he didn't even play until the final game, Pats were down horribly to the Jets, and they brought Brady in for the Final drive, he had 1 complete pass of 3, 40 yards, and the team lost!

Tom Brady 2ND Year, had a passer rating of 86.5 with 2,843 yards, 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 15 games in his 2nd season. He was selected to play in his first Pro Bowl. He won his first Super Bowl MVP award and his first championship.
Bo Nix is in a way, comparable to Tom Brady. If Bo Nix starts game 1 and Plays all year? Granted, now it's 15 or 16 games (looking at YOU ROGER GOODELL, 😡🧐 stop expanding the season!!)...
Bo Nix should be able to go 2500 yards, 100+ rating, 24 TD, 8 or less Int, and the team should have a 9-7 record, 4-2 division record...
I'd be happy!! I WOULD BE ECSTATIC if they make it to the playoffs!!
