These were even hard to find when I started playing in '94/95...kind of mind-blowing that there are even any left out there unsealed.
I love your excitement. I don't even play or collect magic, but it's s fun to watch someone enjoy something they love.
You were almost more excited to see the Dark Ritual than The Power haha
The best part was probably the reaction to the Dark Ritual, being that excited for a common after those rares is just cool to see.
You were a Healing Salve away from pulling all 5 original One-for-Three card concepts all in the same starter. Great stuff!

I remember as a kid in 1994 wanting to get a power 9 beta card , now I just wish for a basic land set.

Man I'm happy for you! I've never opened a Beta Starter before, but when I first started playing (Revised had just come out, Legends boosters were like 6 bucks and an Alpha Lotus shot up to like 50 dollars... LOL) I loved it; Revised was what I mainly went for but I did end up spending like 60 dollars to open two Arabian Nights boosters, and I opened Antiquities too. I kind of miss those days of 40 cards decks and no sissy limits LOL. I also remember when Mind Twist got restricted and then banned in Type 1 for a while. Good times LOL. You could have 4 Library of Alexandria in your deck and even tap them in response to one another to draw 4 cards instead of 1.
dude! i was literally clapping after the dark ritual. EVERY great common, berserk, RECALL!
So many great cards. I loved my land destruction deck from that time. It was all sinkholes, stone rains, and direct damage like lightning bolts.
Keep opening Magic and I'll keep drooling over the amazing pulls you keep getting.

i just went through all my Magic cards, which were a pain to get a hold of at my parent's place. I had a bunch of Ice Age and I THINK 4th edition? I remember missing out on the Black Lotus jumbo card that came with the Wizard Becket Magazine. When I had enough saved up, they were gone from the store... i think those jumbos are worth like $2k now. :/

You know what’s funny is I recently got back into buying new magic and I was just thinking today I wish they put more land in the packs because I can’t even make a basic deck. My mouth was watering at all those beautiful basic lands.
