It's rare to hear about cops facing perjury charges. Unfortunately, it's NOT rare for cops to actually COMMIT perjury. "The Brady List" exists for a reason. It's accountability like this that's sorely missing from policing in America. Do this consistently when cops lie in court and/or on sworn statements, and such actions will decrease dramatically.

They should check the police work of the other officers that worked with these two. Cops don’t do their dirty deeds in a vacuum. They need someone to look the other way, sign obvious erroneous police reports, sweep evidence under the rug. I wouldn’t trust the work of any cop in their precincts.
All cops should be charged with violation of Oath when they break the law. When they are not it’s saving them from real consequences and allow them to move on to the next department to do the same things again
