Pick up a TR-490 crimp tool. It does insulated an uninsulated crimps. Expensive tool but iv’e work in a wire harness factory for almost 12 years. Good tool for most common crimps with vehicle harnesses.

Yah, I am not an expert at terminals. If I was not living full time on the road I would pick one up, or at least have grabbed one with interchangeable dies. I lug around an hydraulic one for larger gauge wire. It's hard to pick and choose tools!

I have not finished watching the video yet but I have read it is not good to hook a lithium chemistry battery DIRECTLY to a lead acid battery in parallel or series even if they have similar voltages because they have different charge and discharge characteristics and rates. When I do something similar to this I will use a DC to DC charger that is designed for lithium to take advantage of the vehicles alternator to charge the lithium battery.

You are correct on both fronts, General South. It is a long video and one battery bank should be isolated, consisting of identical batteries. I do not cover battery isolation and charge controllers in this video. I think I mention it in my lithium battery bank Playlist. It should be somewhere in the several hours of videos LOL. I appreciate the comments! It is a struggle communicating a well rounded message in videos and the comments section can be a great supplement.

At 23:15 did you isolate each crimp so they done short out since you used uninsulated terminals?

Hello, Kyle. I did isolate each butt end connecter using marine shrink tube and standard electrical tape. I also considered vibration and chafing when I placed the loom under the shelf. Thanks for watching out! The devil is in the details.
