I took the plunge twice, and must say, I got a couple beautiful knives. Theres a difference in quality when you buy the more expensive ones. I got a gorgeous damascus bowie, fitted beautifully, razor sharp, deep burgundy micarta, just flawless, and a sweet solid lesther sheath. Theres a 200 dollar version, mine, and a 100 dollar version, which shares the same photo, but you know it's fugazi. I got another solid damascus smatchet with a laminated wood handle, its hard, sharp as f, and gets complements. So basically you get what you pay for
I use a Timber Rattler Outlaw Bowie everyday and I have no problems with them. Granted the fit and finish is a little Ruff but with some sanding and file work they look really great. True they aren't for everyone but I'm extremely happy with the abuse they can take.

I bought several Pakistani knives in the last few weeks and we're quite pleased.. 2023, now twenty five years ago I purchased a Pakistani kife that was junk! Even the seath was a joke.....
I use them as kitchen knoves but in this case the amount of $$$ I was clearly ripped off
@@gustifer0311 yeah I agree, that knife you showed us slip by quality inspection....... I would have took pictures of it and sent it to the maker and asked him what the problem was? If I had a way to send you a photo of what I purchased I would..... A razor sharp Bowie knife with Camel bone handle..... And a good thick leather tooled sheath.... the blade is right at twelve inches long! I bid on it and won it for $15.00 bucks and that was including shipping! I thought as dumbfounded over the quality of the knife... So I started biding on more....
I never had any luck with Pakistani products. Clothing, costumes, knives, everything is soooo so shoddy. India is hit and miss, China is fantastic if you avoid the cheap trash, but Pakistan has a long way to go. They *look* nice in photos but the craftsmen don't seem to understand utility.
They are usually dirt cheap. U get what u pay for.

Did you scrap this blade and look at the SZCO Bowie? I’ve seen good reviews of it but overall unless its that blade I would rather save my money and go for an OKC butcher knife. Best decision I ever made on top of a $20 hatchet from Harbor Freight.
I haven’t scrapped it. It’s in the drawer. Will probably be a re gift

I'm from Pakistan brother, i agree with you that these products are not for high intensity work. If you have money why would you purchase Pakistani, Indian or Chinese stuff buy quality produc made in EU or America. These products are just show pieces only few of them are tough. Otherwise good video.
At least your tang isn't a welded on rod like my 40in double edge "battle ready" sword. That tang is literally smaller in diameter than one of my 327 magnum rounds.

Well too late bought a seax knife off kbs knives didn't know it was coming from Pakistan their Facebook said new York city so let's hope I don't have a twisted blade

Give him a really bad review and contact Ebay with the complaint. I have bought a few wall hangers from Pakistan, Never cost too much. But NEVER again. I have a thought, and you might think its crazy. But, see if some one can reforge the metal into a usable blade? Yeah, don't throw good money after bad.. Live and learn.

With all due respect, you are being disingenuous when you say it has nothing to do with Pakistan, because it has everything to do with Pakistan when they use deceptive business tactics to sell their crap knives on eBay, period, because as I mentioned above, you are not getting the knife in their description, or in the picture, period.
And by the way, Wizirabad, the city of cutlery you had mentioned for our amazement in their knife making skills, is the city where the crap knife I bought on eBay came from!

I would apologize as a Pakistani citizen, although not related to any business about this (I work for the government in upper management roles) if you are so sure about its origin. Having visited that city for my personal collectibles many times, I never saw such crap there and their consistent turnover is in millions of US dollars. Damn is there any way you can try to at least Heat Treat the edge to get some kind of use out of it? I see a lot of these Type Knives Labeled “Handmade 1095” and yes they look amazing and a great price. There’s one called Handmade 1776 Cutlery using 1095 Steel but I’m guessing they are from Overseas Handmade. Stay safe my Friend
Yep!.....I learned my pakassshitan lesson the same way you did Gus, now I rely more on tech specs. than knife eye candy, not saying looks don't matter to me but I'm very wary of that now...great vid Gus!
Thank you Doug yeah, those knobs looks so good in the price point isn’t too bad and they’re also different from what the standard American knife makers put out. It’s very tempting but at the end of the day, none of the description say exactly what kind of steel it’s made for a tough lesson to learn.

Like all other countries, Pakistan makes cutlery, knives, sports goods, and many other implements for a comprehensive global market in different qualities and price ranges according to the importers' demand. Pakistan is a world of arms and sharp-edge weapons You then get what you pay for and what you are looking for. Prices range from as little as 10$ to more than 1000$ or even more. Hollywood is a big customer. My advice: while shopping for such things in your Country; make yourself sure by any expert that they aren't "made in Pakistan" while being sold in US or European boxes and brands. Complex surgical instruments with European or US branding are usually or mostly made in Pakistan. Good luck with your courtesy and research. Ask me and I will send you a real sample made for real men as a friendship gift. Mind it, sharpening, the easiest, is often left for a person's specific needs. Some are packed sharp some are not.
