I am at work now while viewing this video for the first time and tears of joy and longing are now continually streaming down my face as I continue to weep. I feel such a joy to see this video and to see the exact same thing that I am doing in my exile where I feel completely alone; to know that I am not forgotten and not alone in my practice of torath mosha is a great comfort. I have a great longing to be able to be a part of this community. I pray for it everyday and will continue to do so
It is a miSwa upon all the servants of haqqadhosh, barukh hu, to do everything in their power at all times to support, and perhaps join, the community shown in this video. May haqqadhosh, barukh hu, hear my prayer and may He continue to bless His faithful servants in their work to build this community.
The RaMBaM speaks about qabbalah, and there is such a think as realm of "Sod". Clearly, there are elements of the package deal called "kabbalah" --as it is widely viewed today-- that are foreign to our tradition; others that are misunderstood, and others that are genuinely deep and true. The Zohar itself is a multi-layered text. In general, we emphasize the chief importance of our revealed, normative Torah tradition. We do not join other "rambamists" in a knee-jerk rejection of "kabbalah".
Yay. Love it. Question" how do you do prostration whilst wearing tefillin? Do you remove tefillin lest they touch the ground? Does a mat or carpet serve as a sufficient barrier? -evan
It means that there are, at the very least, parts/layers of Zohar that are clearly not from the pen of Rabbi Shim`on Bar Yohhai. This was even noticed by the kabbalist Rav Yitzhak Kaduri of blessed memory. These include words (such as "esnoga" -- the word for "synagogue" in Ladino!) and patterns of speech (such as the use of the term "tipshim"), and a reference to the Crusades...
Hi, just a question of you making Al Nitilat Yadaim. Just want to make sure- their is no bathroom in that room correct? (In America the bathroom and wahsroom is in the same room usually with the sink as well). Just asking to make sure that you can't say any bracha in the restroom.
What is Tefillin suppose to do? The dude put it on his hand under elbow and forehead right? And do Jews pray like this? Is this how the Muslims develop their pray technique?
You live in Egypt and you want to convert to Judaism?! I think you might consider moving first and then take that on. I don't think being a Jew in Egypt is a popular thing.
There are ZERO parts/layers of the Zohar penned by Rabbi Shim`on Bar Yoḥai. The book was authored in 13th century Spain. Its Aramaic is much later than the 2nd century Israeli variety used by RShB"Y.

This is more beautiful than any service I have witnessed. The narration, visuals, music, and dedication are soulful.

It should be obvious that we do not control what ads TH-cam puts up on videos.
They're on all videos.
