Not sure if solid black tallits are sold anymore. You may have to get one custom made. Another option is through an Israeli tallit weaving company by the name of Gabrieli. They have a black tallit with small gold stripes running horizontally across the material.
There is a temani/yemenite website in Israel that sells them. They are actually large prayer shawls. I can send the link but the entire website is hebrew. They ship to US
You can only appreciate this if you know the blessings and from what part in torah they are reciting. And as I incorporated the Teimani tongue into my daily prayers, I know! B"H.
Shalom! I have some questions as I am highly impressed by the Yemeni way of worshipping Adonai. Did the Yemeni Jews always use tefillin, & peyos, or were they introduced to their culture after moving to Yisrael, or being influenced by recent Israeli culture? I was also wondering why they used an antelope's horn instead of a ram's for the shofar? Why a black tallit, is that from the scripture, Talmud, or just a Yemeni tradition? Shalom!
Jews from Yemen have been using all the things you listed for a couple thousand years. They have brought to the State of Israel the tradition and pronunciation of hebrew that they've been using for a very long time. They kept their ways throughout all those times while living in Yemen.
6:52 the proper way to recite Yemenite Torah reminds me my grandfather use to do it.

@Samuel Levy I'm not sure if other communities wore the Black Tallit.

@Samuel Levy The tallit is black because on that day there was a fast in T. Bab (9th be-av)
This is a day of mourning and eulogy for the destruction of the Temple
Banana Assassin
no immigrate to a gentiles state?!
