One of my favourite batmobiles is the telltales batman series where on the surface it looks like a generic red sports car. But when given the signal it armour up and turns black and adds a few bat decals basically transforming it into a sport car style batmobile.
There were 6 versions of the Tumbler made for the films, all for different purposes. One was made specifically for that scene in the Dark Knight where it makes a huge jump off a roof. The version that was used as a functional, driving vehicle came into my brother's shop to get repairs done during the filming of Dark Knight Rises. He got some dope pictures with it too.
I've just realised that there's a tragic irony to Jason Todd being introduced by prying the wheels off the Batmobile. Because as we all know; "Batmobile lost a wheel, Joker got away" Which probably led to his death.
Necessary retcons to Jason Todd's origin: -It happened during Christmas -Batman stunk that day -The mysterious appearance of an egg in Todd's bed that morning -Batman used the specific car Todd stole the wheels off of. -They weren't put back well, that's why the wheel fell off Let's do this!
The first 1960's BatMobile used to have yellow trimming. The designer and builder test drove it and was pulled over by police, then impounded and crushed because it wasn't considered road legal.
The tim burton batmobile is my personal favorite because it just had such a great design and cool gadgets. The animated series one was good too because it was essentially a simplified( for animation purposes) version of the same car.
Fun crossover: in the miniseries Justice, drawn by the great Alex Ross, there is an armoured batsuit modelled on the 60s Batmobile. It's bloody cool looks amazing and gives me great Kingdom Come batsuit vibes 🙂

I grew up in the 80’s in a small Northern California town of about 1000 people and just randomly a guy in our town owned the actual 60’s tv Batmobile. Bought it from the studio at some point. He’d drive it in the May town parade every year and even run some of the functional gadgets on it. Pretty awesome for us kids

My favourite Batmobile is from Arkham Knight. Arkham Asylum, 1989 are great too. The Batman is also great, and of course it’s early on so it’s subject to advancements later on.
Fun fact: the 1989 Batmobile has no doors because of a production gaff. Anton Furst (the designer) did a talk at the University where I work and told the story. The whole body is a single-piece fibreglass shell over a Chevrolet Impala chassis but when it was produced it was pointed out they forgot to cut holes for doors to be fitted. As they didn't have time or money to redo the body it was decided to saw off the cockpit canopy and have it slide forwards so that Batman could get in.
That 'Lamborghini Batmobile' designed by Neal Adams is actually based on a Corvette. Bruce Wayne's black 1963 Corvette in The Batman is a direct nod to this iteration of the Batmobile. He did drive an actual Lamborghini Batmobile at times in the 80s, though. The Batmobile Jason Todd jacked the hubcaps from was a Lamborghini.
My favourite Batmobile has always been the one from the THE BATMAN cartoon from the mid 2000's. It had a cool light trail and was animated to steer in almost exclusively 90 degree angles.
I couldn't see the batman beyond batmobile, so I watched again... still nothing. Had a friend watch... still nothing... the cycle has continued and I fear I will never see it!
The Batman Beyond one is probably my favorite, however the Batmobile from the CW series "The Batman" was a really good blend of the classic style, military build, and just being a normal car.

I know most people don't like the Arkham Knight batmobile because you have to use it a lot. But I honestly never got bored of using it. Felt amazing to drive for me, tank mode was fun (story context didnt technically make sense for Tank Mode but whatever it was fun so I didnt care that much). Honestly there is nothing like the feeling of driving throught Gotham at high speeds and ejecting from the Batmobile to kick a thug in the face with a flying kick. It's just amazing for me tbh. Edit: Also being able to switch the batmobile model and use a bunch of different Batmobiles was amazing
The batwing aligning with moon scene blew my mind as a kid. I started drawing the bat symbol everywhere. I mowed lawns so I could buy a VHS copy of the movie. Good memories

She, Meg Churches, is an Australian National Treasure. Love her youtube channel and Batzilla the Bat as well. She's not posting much now, but Batusi Nights (remember the Bright Knight's dance??) has a greaat channel, too, with the best baby/mother bat reunion ever.
To be fair it's a common misconception that the Tumbler isn't "Bat themed" but there is a diagram out there that shows the sort of bat flapping its wings shape that the Tumbler follows
There's a featurette on the Tumbler, and yes it was built from scratch, as it doesn't have a front axle. It was engineered to do all the jumps and stunts they would need. Of course they had different ones for close ups, showing the roof, driving, crashing etc.
The _Brave and the Bold_ Batmobile is a great representation of what a Batmobile should be. It draws inspiration from the most famous George Barris design for the 1966 television show, but also effectively includes elements from the early comics. The Batmobile history website has assembled information about hundreds of Batmobile designs, including the Forrest Robinson Batmobile you feature in the video. That particular car now sports a black and red finish that is not original, but is obviously a strategy used to associate it with the Barris Batmobile.
Another one that combines a bunch of elements from previous batmobiles and works is from the Batman Brave and the Bold cartoon...like was mentioned in the video.
For me its the one from the animated series "batman the brave and the bold". It takes a lot of elements from a lot of batmobiles and it just works really well for me

Even though BvS is officially not in the same Earth as Nolan, they clearly hinted at ties with both the Bat mobile and the burned out Wayne mansion.
A family that lives near me is in possession of the ‘66 bat mobile, they drive around in it all the time, they also have a Delorean that I saw on the road about a month ago
Check out the one from the “White Knight” series, that one opened my eyes a bit to cool car designs, its a mix of the Animated series one and the Tumbler. Plus it’s a story with multiple era Batmobiles driving around at once

Personally, my favourite batmobile was a mcdonalds toy I got at some point in the early 2010s. It could split apart and would have a bat cycle inside. Positively dope.

what i liked about the BvS batmobile (and even the Batwing) is that the machine guns look obviously added on, they weren't part of the vehicle's original design, in Justice League he even adds a big cannon to replace the passenger seat, hinting that he only became violent and started using guns after losing his sidekick

The Lamborghini Murcielago in the Dark Knight from what I've heard means 'Bat' in Italian which is a nice touch from Nolan.

The BvS Batmobile incorporates the sporty looks of the 1989 one with the armor look of Nolan's one, it's the best version yet in my opinion.

what i liked about the BvS batmobile (and even the Batwing) is that the machine guns look obviously added on, they weren't part of the vehicle's original design, in Justice League he even adds a big cannon to replace the passenger seat, hinting that he only became violent and started using guns after losing his sidekick
