I'm 68 years old.I have terminal cancer.I listen to this on my tablet every day during my chemo treatments. It takes me far away where sickness doesn't exist. You have no idea how many hearts you touch.Keep spreading your gift my friend.
Almighty God please lay your healing hands on @kkeesy and heal the cancer within. You are the Great Physician Lord and we trust in You fully and completely. Thank You so much for listening to and answering our prayers. In Jesus precious name I pray amen.
I’ve always enjoyed music from the dulcimer, as well as other instruments. ‘O Holy Night’ is my most favorite Christmas music! You play this very well on the dulcimer! Thank 🙏🏼 you for sharing with us all! 🥲😍👏🏼👏🏼🌺🌲🌺😁🙋🏻♀️
Tena Wallace Aw. Thanks! It’s never too late to learn to play. Check out my website and message me from there and I can suggest some great beginner instruments. You’ll love it!
Go ahead and splurge! I did at 86 years of age. It is fun, pretty, and what's wrong with music. Answer--- absolutely NOTHING! NO ELECTRICITY NEEDED! and you don't have to look at the strings after a little practice. Love it!!
I just had to listen again this morning. If I am not mistaken, I asked if you play O Holy Night about 5 years ago when I first discovered your music on TH-cam. Oh my goodness, this brings such memories back to me from my childhood. Thank you for highlighting my Christmas Season this year. I appreciate it. Just Beautiful!
Thanks for listening everyone! Please help me out by giving this video thumbs up so it appears higher up in searches on google and youtube. And if you'd like, leave me a note here or on my FB page: Mark Alan Wade, Musician.
Very, very nice, Mark. I thoroughly enjoyed your arrangement and watching your impressive playing skills in action. - Thank you for the video and your note at 4:07. I was really wondering about that.
If only hammered Dulcimers were a more common instrument. I 'd already be playing it here in college. I want to learn every instrument. I already play strings and percussion. Now, I'm learning flute as my 1st wind instrument, but I won't be leaving this wonderful instrument out of the list. Congratulations on mastering your talents to the real world. One question. How are the notes arranged on this instrument?
As a HD player myself, I stand in admiration of your technique, phrasing, lovely chording, and sensitive interpretation of this piece. Nicely done! You said there is a "soft strings synth pad for added bass"...is that something added in post-production, or something you play simultaneously like with a foot pedal as you're playing the HD? I've been trying to add bass to my HD playing for some time now, but cannot find any instrument or foot-pedal setup with which to do that.
The synthesized string bed that I added was done after I recorded the dulcimer track. I recorded the dulcimer track live with the video camera and with microphones. After I imported the video, I played along to the audio track on my synthesizer and then combined the audio of the synthesizer to the audio from the original video for what you hear in this recording. so to answer some questions on this video in short, there's no way to do this live as a solo performer that I know of.

Wow I gave up on the piano, maybe I should learn hammered dulcimer, it looks easier and sounds great!
❤️🎄

Dusty Strings!
Goodness this is lovely! Is there some other instrument giving a little bass, like a piano or another dulcimer?
WOW...TO PLAY AS WELL AS YOU...:)))
Can you play sound of silence by simon & garfunkel

Mark do you have an arrangement of this? I recently got a Michael Allen 17/16/9 and would like to learn how to use the ultra bass.
Pam s - Yes I do. I sell it on my website: MarkAlanWade.com.
Bonjour comment se nomme cet instrument. Je ne connais pas 🤔
very nice and also nice to play as a Solist. But I guess it is not esay or learned in no time :)
did you know that the piano comes from the hammered dulcimer??
Is the hammered dulcimer difficult to learn to play?
how are your superbass strings tuned? from bottom
Pam s : A1, B1, D2, E2, F2, F#2, G2, C3, F3
the sound is very similar to the piano
+Dj Perseus That would make sense since a piano is hammers on tuned metal strings. :)
Traumhaft schön 😍💕
