Two Alarm Commercial Building Fire Wall Township New Jersey 5/3/24

- Monmouth County - Two Alarm - 2125 NJ-35 - Wall Township
Just around 3:00 PM, Wall Township got a report of a building fire on Route 35. Just after the first fire officer arrived he advised of a moderate smoke conidion coming from the commerical structure. Engine 3 was first due and on arrival stretched a 1.3/4 hand line into the building where the fire was. Soon after 3-66 arrived on the scene and transmitted the Second Alarm for the fact it was a commercial building with an attached private dwelling. The fire was quickly knocked down by the first arriving crews, but a heavy smoke condition remained. Two more lines were pulled to help with suppression efforts off E-3. Crews began to vent the structure and shortly after the fire was placed under control. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation. Also, there were no reported injuries.

Looks like they need apparatus placement training. If that thing had lit off, they would have lost a ladder truck and an engine. There was plenty of reach on the aerial, so the truck shield have been placed on the roadway, not only for exposure liability, but to also provide a larger and safer work zone for the firefighters
Ya it was pretty close to the building, think they were trying to stay out of the road as much as possible

Only one problem. You have to be paramedic / EMT. Forget it
@georgecoons6872 , where did you get that information? I was a volunteer firefighter for 10 years. I was not an EMT or paramedic.
@@gregggoss2210 NEELEDES CALIFORNA. times did changs for oud paid ca call volunteer till the late 90s. now you will be a paramedic to fight fire. station 31 32.. politics politics.. call and ask.
I think you can park that ladder truck just a couple more feet closer to the building

As a former Truck Co Engineer i wouldve placed the Ladder at the front right corner of the building allowing easier access to the Alpha and Delta sides of the building. And no ground ladders anywhere.

Sad part about this is one time I was driving past this, and I saw a sign that said "CLOSING SPRING OF 2024"
