Traction control off and stabilitrak off FIX (READ DESCRIPTION)

- I have had this problem for about 2-3 days I would get in my truck in the morning and it would drive normal. After about 5-10 minutes it would start chiming and saying that the traction control is off and the stabilitrak is off as well. The traction control light would turn on as well as the red brake light on the dash. I would pull over and turn the truck off for about 30 seconds to a minute and it would go away and would not come on the rest of the day. So I thought nothing of it because sights online said that it was common when you have over sized tires. But on the third day the light did not go off even after shutting the truck off for a good five minutes. So I did some research and came to the conclusion that it was low brake fluid. This is luckily an easy and cheap fix. If you have a truck like mine (2007 Chevy Silverado) the brake fluid is located to the left of the fuse box under the hood. There will be a max and min line, just fill it with DOT 3 Synthetic brake fluid. Make sure it is synthetic. Make sure to not go over the max line, as long as you are above the min like you are fine. Dude my ABS light was on and my Traction control light was on. My brake canister was half full. I filled and both lights went out. Thanks bro 😊
Mine (09 Tahoe LT) just did this for the 2nd time in 2yrs an hour ago. 1st time #1 plug fouls....today wire to driver side wheel sensor was lose. Wiggled it and started the truck . Drove home with full power. Thanks Gm Engineers. Nice video anyways. It was informative.

My 2012 GMC Acadia does the same thing but only while driving at random. Pulling over, shutting off and restarting does help until next time

It was the mass air flow sensor on my 07 tahoe,the stabilizer and traction control came on about 5 months ago its rough idling ,hard jerk,ans surging so i put it on a scanner it said cylinder 7misfire so I changed the plug bam it worked well it started a few days ago again same thing so I pull the plugs bad again that when I realize something was causing bad spark so I checked my mass air flow sensor it was burnt. Wasnt getting proper air and fuel ratio

I need to know why I cannot spin my back tires (power break) on my 1992 LT1 Corvette my red break light stays on all the time. I can be parked on wet grass and the tires won’t spin at all🙄. It’s sad that a corvette cannot smoke the tires. My 1986 would light the tires up
If your brake fluid is low you either need new brakes or have a leak.
My 2011 sierra was doing this and the cruise control no longer worked. I replaced the brake switch (on back of the pedal) and my errors went away and cruise is now back working.

Very interesting. I have been having the same lights, and I just went outside to check my brake fluid level and its pretty much on the minimum line. I'm going to fill it up tomorrow and hopefully this solves my problem. Either way thanks for sharing ur experience with this problem.

2009 silverado after alot of research my cruise control sensor was the issue 15.00 dollar part on Amazon. What a fucken hassle!

What's going on bro I noticed you have a service air bag on your dash I had the same thing on mine check under your driver seat a connector probably came unplug that happened to me I just thought you might have the same issue
Mine was a blown fuse for that airbag light
Same happened to me I filled up with brake fluid because it was low and the light went off
I have a 2010 silverado recently the light comes on after I turn on the truck and if I drive it when I turn it on my pedal goes in and it makes a noice I can only drive it when the “stabilitrak light turns on” I still don’t know what the problem is can you help?

LazyCaTdetecting NC no the truck drives fine when the light comes on but the light needs to come on to drive it I wish I could fix it tho
Jose. If you haven't fixed the problem, get someone to scan it with a high end scan tool to see what codes are coming up. Cheap scan tools wont show body codes. Mine 2012 suburban had codes for 3 abs wheel speed sensors and 2 codes for the steering wheel angle position sensor. Ive fixed those but my stabilitrak and traction control light is still on. Im now going to try what is in this video and try to add on to the ground strap to motor

Mine was a rear wheel speed sensor
Stupid ass traction control warning could be anything I had I come on for an issue with my fuel system had absolutely nothing to do with the drivetrain
Question, so there was a fuel related problem that kept putting light on!? My light Gos on and off ,but I suspect I have a week throttle body for a idle problem

You didn’t fix the problem just gonna make it worst either front or back brakes are in bad condition that’s why warnings are for it’s not because just brake fluid is low unless it’s a leak on the system but that’s another issue still sometimes a bad master cylinder will cause that lost with out loosing the brakes I mean brake fluid doesn’t burn or evaporate it’s a reason that brake fluid is low
Joffre rivera, thanks. I think my brakes are in bad condition but I read it could also be an issue with the brake pedal sensor. My codes given by ODM are U0121, C056D, C0561. Regards.

@@xxsurcentralxx All those codes I had don't say anything clear. I had my four brake pads and discs changed. Now I need to change brake flex cable on the front wheels. So far, I still get the stabilitrak message during a full stop in a slope only.

I'm also get service stabiltrak an service traction control messages but on when I get on down the road the traction control light blinks when I make a right turn only an after I straitened the wheel up is that my steering wheel position sensor going bad
There's a sensor behind both front tires that could be the problem that was my issue just happened to have a flat tire and found it hanging

@@nicholasdismute4598 no forgot the name of the guy at the parts store explained it to me unless he was wrong his words but it fixed the problem, not a mechanic but can turn a wrench there's only 1 bolt holding it down
Only other sensor I can think of is the tire pressure sensor

Mine was a fouled plug on a number 7 cylinder I changed it and the problem went away

@@hisexcellencytrump855 if you can feel that your truck is missing if it has kind of a shake to it when it's at idle I would definitely check your plugs
Plugs don't have a dang thing to do with abs or stability comtrol
