AWESOME JOB Cole. Thats a whole lotta work for one day by one person. Glad the rains came right on time.
I hope Brian has a baby cam on the corn silos to make sure Cole doesn't climb up on them again while Mom and Dad are away.
Yay for the rain!!! I kept saying, aloud, don’t forget the rain gauge realizing I was talking to my cat and that you couldn’t hear me 😂
Well done, Cole. That apple didn't fall far from the tree.
I imagine your Dad had plenty of these days in his youth.
It's a wonderful thing to know Mom and Dad are out enjoying life knowing their son is in charge.
Farmer Cole you got this
God Bless Sonne Farms and Families.
As long as he doesn't climb up on the grain silo alone again. We're never going to let him forget THAT one.
Wished I lived a little closer to give you a hand Cole. Brian have a great and relaxing vacation with the boss.
Hoping the rain keeps coming and you have a record bumper crop this year.
For those of you that may not see the news from Saskatchewan. On a farm near Bjorkdale a Charolais/Simmental cross cow about eight years old has given birth to four calves. She was bread to a Simmental bull. According to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine the odds of this happening are 1 in 700,000. All four female calves are now over a week old and are all doing well. This pushes the odds to 1 in 11.2 million. They are believed to be two pairs of identical twins. I just thought any of the livestock producers out there might find this interesting.
Now that's very interesting...😊 Thank you for that information...
Now in a round about way I'm interested in numbers too. I raise meat rabbits it is vital to a farmer to know such things for an informed operation.....
Wow!!
That is intriguing. I know that often times twin calves can be sterile, and i am going to assume that is the case for quadruplet calves?
@@georgefamilyhomestead Guess it'll be a while before you will have an answer to that.
Ellie "yum yum a treat"
Ellie also "Why are you filming me while I eat? Weirdo" :)
Thanks for another great video Cole.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Busy day for you with dad being gone.
Best wishes to Brian and Tami for a Florida vacation. Enjoy.
Cole your day has been busy spreading fertilizer before planting. You covered a lot of acres in one day. Good to get it done before the rains.
Good job Cole!!!!!!
And one of your cows had twins. Good of uncle Jeff to look after the calves. Hope the one calf does alright that needs a mom.
Sorry about your a/c electrical box. Hopefully he will get it fixed so the cattle can’t bother the box.
Good going Cole with dad being away. You did great.
Thanks for everything Cole. Take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
That looks like fun spreading fertilizer. I sure miss farming, I think that is why I like your channel and other farming channels. Thanks for the good videos
Thank you!
So happy you got some rain. Great video Cole.. Hope mom and dad has a great time on vacation.
Blessings to all our farmers. You’re the cream of the crop!!!
Don't worry about "repeatedly" telling us about the weather and what you'd like from it... Firstly, you're not going on about it half as much as the European farmers I watch, and they're justified. Secondly, it gives us context - not living remotely close to you, I don't know accurately what the weather has been like and consequently the state of the ground. And third, weather has been crazy the last couple of years and it's nice to understand the greater issues you're facing.
Hope Brian and Tammy get well rested before planting season.
Great video as always.
Awesome. Brain is lucky to have you. There are very, very few people on this earth , who have the work ethic of the Sonne family . All of them. Thanks. Made my day.
awsome video cole your a good son to help out when brian is not there thumnbs up and shared
Great video. Hope your parents had an enjoyable trip. So glad.you got moisture. God Bless.
You finished the fertilizer before the rains came. . . . way to go Cole! 😊
Yes! Thank you!
Praying for rain for y’all!!😊
Glad yall got the rain! Really hoping for a good season for yall.
Yeah enough of the drought issues, let's get you guys a nice normal growing season with proper rainfall.
I hope you get two inches of rain tonight and another two next week, and the next week!
Homestead in good hands, this country needs more sons like Cole!!
Sunup to sundown. A farmers work is never done ✔️.
Great job COLE
Ellie said it’s too moist I want back in the garage!!
Another sweet video glad to here your mom and dad took a limitless vacation

Enjoy vacation, Coles got this!
Uncle Jeff (on calf watch)... is Cole's back up!..
Happy vacation Brain & Tammy!🧃🍹👍👏👏👏
Have fun in Florida, Brian and Tami! Cole is taking good care of the homestead!
❤
Oh Cole you’re a great husband for realizing that what a wife needs is so beneficial to your family. Lol. Nice to see you get some moisture. Weather has been really unpredictable, not even sure we’re in spring yet! Have a great weekend. ❤❤
umm...that wasn't the point he was making when bringing up the lack of electricity issue
@@lorimars0 maybe but the old Adage of "if mamma ain't happy nobody's Happy" lesson Make Mamma Happy...............my advice to young men.. I bet Dad knows This............
@@conniepitts8392 perhaps, but while putting out one fire and starting another by portraiting "momma" publicly as unreasonable or entitled is not conducive to matrimonial bliss. i'd be displeased if anyone referred to me using the wt moniker "momma," too.
i've read enough posts here to see that it's primarily woke enough to avoid triggering anyone, but i'm not in the boot licker camp and few of the farmers that i grew up knowing would be either.
That dont make sence@@lorimars0
Loved the camera under the tractor carriage! Like an amusement ride going through the ditch.
Cole, you can use a piece of pool noodle on that sharp part of the cart. Might work for you. Love your videos, their very innovative.
Curls in the morning are important, I'm sure your wife is glad you understand that.
Prayers for a safe and prosperous year for all our farmers.
If I win the lottery I’ll buy you a bigger spreader.
Clearwater is on the beach and has one of the nicest beaches on the west coast of Florida.
Brian and Tami, hope you enjoyed your vacation :) Thanks, Cole for the video! Yay, moisture :)
It's always reassuring when Captain Cole is in charge when Admiral Brian is away. Like the others have been saying you guys are way overdue for a good growing season.
Way to rock the homestead while Brian is grabbing so R&R. 💪🏻
Great camera placement
Howdy Cole, Brian, I hope ya'll are doing well,
Ah, where did that stroopwaffle come from, the one you had in the tractor ?? On Bull day, there was 1 stroopwaffle left, and Brian said you could have it, and you said Ellie definitely wasn't gonna get it, but that was on Bull day, so where did you get ( another ) stroopwaffle ?? It's bad enough we can't get stroopwaffles up here in Alberta, Canada, you get extra stroopwaffles Cole ?? Ok, ok, how do we get some of those tasty 😋 stroopwaffles up here in Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 🤣
Another Great video Guys, Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends
I love the ride alongside…..I miss the spring fieldwork……Great video Cole!!!!
Other folks have “Squirrel “. Cole has “deer” or “moles” in the field. So the cattle got into an electric box and caused some mischief! Nice camera work Cole. Nice video footage!
Hey Cole
i might have missed it BUT a great video would be with You, Dad and Uncle Jeff were sitting around and chatting about your Family history
So happy to hear you’re going to get good moisture after you finish fertilizing!!
Keep up the hard work Cole, making Brain proud. U the man💪👍
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
Tiff's got to have that curl in the AM.
Always a good video.
Hopeful for the rain. My son lived in Brookings for few years. It seemed like it was always windy when we visited. Thanks for the videos Cole.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO COLE AND BRIAN 😊

Cole is the GUY !
Boss man leaves and it rains?......i see a new tradition about to begin
cole hoping you guys get the rain you need. hope brian is enjoing his vaction. her i NE we got hit with a ton of tornados hoping the pepole are safe in Omaha Ne but enjoy the weekend and keep safe.
Awesome job Captain 🧑✈️ great video🙏🏼for a great year Aloha from Hawaii 🌴😎🤙🏽
I live in St petersburg just 5-7 miles from Clearwater Beach. They are probably home already but they came at a good time perfect weather for the beach or sight- seeing. Boy that wind really whipped up, so glad you all got the rain
Thank you Sonne farms!!
Good to see the rain, Cole!!! I hope you have a stellar crop this year!
And you got the rain !!!
Thanks again for taking us along today. Nice camera placement. A good balance of the many hats you wear some days.
Now that you're the captain, you can sign some cheques now.”RIGHT” And everything happens when you're not home. Welcome to the farmers lifestyle.
I think you got more rain yesterday as well. Here's to a good year. 🤞
According to my Grandmother, born and raised on a farm/ranch in Colman, SD, farmers did not have back problems until they installed lights on tractors.
interesting
Looks great to see the moisture
Nice timing on getting the urea put out!
Hope I don't jinx it but bull numbers ahead of heifer number and getting some well deserved moisture. Hope all farmers get a great 2024....much deserved
I live in Clearwater, about a mile from the beach. Hope your parents enjoy their stay. Great days for a vacation. Sunny 0% chance of rain
We had a great time there. Beautiful place!
Sad thing is, when you guys have drought, we get the floods here in Australia. Then it seems to flip around. Here’s hoping we all get just as much moisture as we need. There’s an Australian classic poem by Dorothea MacKellar - “My Country” that I often think you guys could relate to in some ways.
We have a new technology called a Broom that may be useful to sweep Urea into the trailer drain.
Keep the sheds
Cole, you put a video out everyday, work hard u an your father guys are a machine
Nice jib Cole. Congrats for the rain. Hope the electrical is up an running, by curling time. Great job by yourseelf!!!
Heavy chemtrail spraying will bring in that rain at the 8:43 mark. Last Friday, we had clear skies. On last Saturday, they let us have it HEAVY on the spraying and we have had 4 days of straight rain. No one ever mentions this.
Glad to see you got some rain. We had about 1 1/2 inches yesterday & last night here in west central MN. We have more coming tomorrow the way it sounds.
Take a piece of hose (probably 3/8") split it on one side and slide it over the metal edge for extra protection.
You’re gonna get some lucky power company guy some overtime cause Tiffany need to curl her hair. 😂. What a Lucky guy!! Lol
Has Lake Sonne formed in the driveway? Let’s hope! I’ve got to run to Clearwater on Saturday, good reason to break out the Sonne Farms shirt
Coincidentally, my electric went out last night, mine was weather related. I had a 654 New Holland for about 15 years that I replaced with a John Deere baler in 2020. The JD makes a real nice bale, but what I like the most is the net wrap, not that the twine wrapped NH bales were bad. Sounds like it's still going good for you on calving, good luck on the harvests this season! Have a good day!
Watching the wheels under your fertilizer that was a cool ride. Thanks Cole
You bet!
Good luck with the rain Cole , It is the 1 of May on Tues and we have not had any rain yet for 6 months .
Long day thanks for sharing
I didn't think that Mobility was still in business . I worked for them for a short time in the late seventy's . At that time they built fertilizer spreaders , smaller gas rough ground fork lifts and loaders .
Good job Cole Brian has to be glad he can count on you to get things done while he is gone he deserves his time off getting old ya know !👌👍💪✝️🙏
Hopefully you'll have a great year with plenty of more rain! Also, would have been a really nice buck this fall!
I'm interested in knowing how that buck lost its life...
Good result getting the N on just in time for that significant rain, Your fert calibration appears spot on as well - congratulations!
Good old dependable N H BALERS 👍👍 .. seems like a lot of wind to be spreading fertilize😂😂 would Paw approve😢. Thanks COLE !! 🌬️🌬️
664 is definitely a good choice for a backup baler. Ive never had a cow or heifer reject a twin, had 13 sets the spring of 2003
Good to see lake Sonne
You had twins, congratulations..
Good idea to have a backup baler in case of a breakdown and to do the ditches.
I'm curious...why Clearwater!---Occasionally, when watching the panels in the farm equipment, how our Grandparents & Great-grandparents managed!---Interesting development about that electrical panel. I don't quite understand yet how the cattle were involved.---And how much water showed in the rain gauge! Yippee, don't we love rain (wish I could have experienced the electrical storm that was predicted. I live too close to the coast for favorable lightning.)
You did well Cole, all that work done.hope you get your rain. I hope your power is sorted out. Strange to think it was the cattle.????
4/27/24 -Great video today! Hope you get plenty of rain Cole.
That deer rack is worth some money!!
Great video Cole glad you got some rain. We need rain in Idaho too
Song of the day for Brian and Tammy, Island Song by the Zac Brown band.
For the rest of us Dear Mr Fantasy by Traffic.
That lineman that you ruined the night of probably got a fat overtime check so I’m sure he was happy to have his night ruined
Cole, you and the Welkers both are hopeful this year is he end of the drought
Ellie's Lake Sonne is back. Great video, thanks!
I'm praying\hoping for rain right along with yall Sonnes'. I'm bitching right along w. This year has a different feel to it. Wink no jinx
Instead of repeatedly installing and removing your tractor hook-up 'tongue' drawbar piece, prepping for pulling the fertilizer distributor, could you permanently install a similar piece onto your fertilizer tongue itself? It'd save a lot of getting up and down.
