Sikhism was originated during the period of Muslim atrocities in India. And therefore, many Hindus feared practicing their religion openly. So, many Hindus worshiped their God behind closed doors and pretended to be a Muslim in public. Through those lines, which the Muslim guy was quoting, Guru Granth actually asking Hindus not to fear and practice their religion openly and end this hypocrisy. And this is a very beautiful message from our guru.

How this muslim guy has the audacity to pick a line out of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and claim to understand what it means baffles me, especially to someone (jagraj) who knows the scripture inside out.
He just did exactly what a lot of atheists today do to the koran which is pick verses out without reading the whole passage, and making claims about the religion with little or no knowledge of the context in which it was written.

Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors" lmao.....then he would start complaining "bro, youre taking it out of context!!!" .......The other gentlemen was more professional, and was able to ask an appropriate question...as to why GGSJ tells muslims to follow the koran and bible, etc.......thats a tough question, and unfortunately you had to answer on the spot which is very difficult.....I think you would of came up with a better answer if you had more time. This is nothing new it is a habitual activity of some Muslims to misquote religions for the benefit of their own misguided uninformed dawah. A learned individual constantly has to put them in their place with the most civilised evidence based discourse discounting their claims. At this juncture since the consciousness of the world is increasing they are desperately holding onto the belief that theirs is the only way and that all else are unbelievers. This is why it takes more than one muslim to profess their version of the truth using trending buzzwords and rehearsed responses to validate and intellectualise their debate. Next time you speak to a muslim street preacher or otherwise simply say "show me where it says that in the koran".

At that time it was Mughal Raj and he told that what Hindus were doing by pretending to be muslims to progress in society. In November 2015 was the first time I had ever heard of a Sikh. I have been studying them, their action and their beliefs since that time. I think Sikhs are beautiful people with the kindest hearts and slow to anger. I admire their dedication to their religion, their heritage and their way of life.

Gurus read the immense "Hindu" scriptures available. Which gave the path to spirituality which is forefront in Sikhi. All of the concepts of letting others follow their wishes and not converting others is imbedded in Hinduism/Sanatan Dharma philosophies. Infact hinduism isnt a religion, its a dharma. Dharma does not mean religion. Hinduism was never a faith. It was a seeking behaviour. Never relied on 1 book to follow. Never followed anything. Only provided ways to get answers to your seekings.

i know that Sambo originally Zambo is a derogatory label for a person of African descent in the Spanish language. But this kind of word is not used in Indian languages. However, after the Islamic invasion, "Habashi, a word from the Persian language, started being used in North-Western India, which also means the same thing.
But yeah, basically such words do not exist in India and its origin languages.

I was born in the Sanatani community. Sikh Gurus are our Gurus and our protector. My Grandmother always told us to go to Gurudwara to thank the Gurus with gratitude.

But being religious isn’t enough u have to follow the correct path. If your religious in a religion that isnt the path that is chosen by God then what’s the point. For the non believers in Islam, Allah has written so many miracles in the Quran that it’s just a matter of people reading it. One for instance is the Big Bang Theory. If you don’t know what that is you can look it up but the just the thought of the Big Bang theory was just recently talked about but the Quran had mentioned it 1400 years ago. If that doesn’t tell you something your just ignorant. And don’t even bother to call it a coincidence because at that point your just blinding yourself to the truth.
